Has potential

I love the idea of this app, it’s a dream come true. I just don’t know many people who can pay for $10 a week to grocery/meal plan.

Money grab

Good in theory until you pay 12.99$ CAD every 7 days just for a meal PLAN. It’s all ai generated but it makes you pay for it instead.

Waay overpriced

I was really hoping I was going to enjoy this app. I was even willing to pay if it gave me the options it says it did. They have a 3 day free trail and then I’d be charged $12.99 a WEEK after that. That’s almost $700 for the year!! There are no other subscription options offered. Try for 3 days then pay a stupid amount of money. Absolutely not! Got excited for nothing. Will be deleting and not even trying the free trial.

Good idea but expensive

I like the idea but be prepared to pay 55$ a month for this service. It was too expensive for me.

Misleading

Costs money. Only offers 3 day trial.

Useless

Literally kept suggesting nothing but chicken dishes. Like don’t get me wrong I like chicken but I ain’t tryna eat chicken 24/7. Not to mention it’s literally just ai generated that you could get from chat GPT for cheaper. I low key thought that it was finna compare grocery store prices to fit my budget but it don’t even do that. And tell me why tf Shaws wasn’t an option for where you shop. Don’t waste ur time.

Have to pay

Do not use, just a waste of so much money. AI can do the same for free just saying

Cool in theory

I have IBS and chose the IBS/LOW FODMAP option and it only recommended me stuff with foods that I cannot have on my diet. The directions are also super vague

save your phone storage & money

As great as the concept is, the app is deeply flawed and full of AI slop. The images of recipes are so obviously AI, none of the food in the images looks real or edible. On top of that, it’s $10 a week to continue using. If I’m trying to budget for meals, in what world would I want to pay $40 a month for poorly AI-generated recipes?

Not to mention the bugs— I set a budget and the plan it generated was over the budget. It then told me to increase my budget to $100 for “more premium options”, and my budget was already $100.

In theory, an app designed to work with your budget, consider dietary needs, and even be specific to your grocery store sounds wonderful. But this one is not the answer.

Good concept, needs work

I selected simple recipes and excluded a grill for cooking devices. My results had a grill recipe. I shuffled the recipe and it seems the shopping list added the ingredients for the new recipe but it did not seem to remove the ingredients from the previous recipe. It would help if the ingredients and/or quantities had a hyperlink back to the recipe it came from.

I am hoping future updates have more crock pot and pressure cooker recipes. It sems the recipes are limited as after two shuffles of one recipe it tells me there are no more options.

Misleading

The app costs 40-50 a month! It charges 10 dollars every 7 days and the “free potto” is misleading. You’re not getting what it advertised for free, just something else

Shady Pricing

Charges you $9.99 a week. That is $520 a YEAR! That is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. But if you go into your subscriptions in your Apple settings, find potto and click on it, it gives you the ability to see all plans. It shows the same potto unlimited plan and 4 different billing options. The options are $6.99 per week, $9.99 per week, $39.99 per year, and $49.99 per year. Seems as if they are just trying to rip you off.

$10 a week is crazy

I didn’t realize this app was charging me $10 a week… that’s $40 a month for so many repeat meals. Save your money!

AI recipes

Works as advertised but not worth the money. All recipes are AI generated along with an AI generated photo. You’d be better off using another AI assistant to do the exact same thing for free.

False Advertisement

In app purchased, false. Your app show be advertised as SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED TO USE. You go through all the steps and then it tells you how much it cost per week. Even if you click the X it says build a plan which cost you. So nowhere in this app are in app purchases meaning it’s free and if you want to upgrade.

behind a paywall

$10 a week…… that’s all i need to say. I was so excited for this cause I am getting so creatively bound when it comes to cooking and this was supposed to help me out and I hate how it says plan meals save money you’re not saving money if you’re spending an extra $40 a month for AI to show you pictures of food. Chat GPT is free guys use that instead!!!!

Don’t understand how this app has 5 stars

First of all, this app was promoted to me on instagram as “helpful when you have almost no budget”. Yet they charge $10 a WEEK for meals created with ai. Even the images are ai. If someone only has $50 a week to spend on groceries what makes you think they’ll want to spend that a MONTH on this.

When you click on most recent reviews, almost all of them are 1 star. If you NEED to use ai to make a meal plan just use chat gpt. I wouldn’t be surprised if they used AI to get all these reviews.

Misleading free trial

I love the concept and I was excited to try the app, but after trying to sign up for the free trial, it attempted to charge $29. Lost my trust. I don’t see that price even listed and don’t want random charges coming out of my account.

Not Free!!

they claim that only some features are hidden behind the pay wall but unfortunately it’s literally only free to download. you cannot use a single feature without paying 9.99 a week!

Has potential

Great app. Would love to be able to manually input what’s in my fridge and pantry
