So..so music app.

Power Music has some good functionality such as transposing the key, but is let down by poor formatting options, such as font size and layout, which appears to have a mind of its own. Another really annoying problem is: if a member of the band creates a playlist and other members download it, the playlist changes the key of all the songs on it into the key played by the person who created the playlist. Now, if other members normally use a capon (and hence play different chords) they will find the chords for those songs have all been changed. Really annoying, especially if you only discover it whilst performing.

Good app

This app is very easy to use. I just wish it had markup capabilities.

Not perfect

A little glitchy but worth the effort.

Fantastic Software

Fantastic for those needing a full score and those wanting just chords.

You need a PC to upload your own paper scanned music and it’s easy to paste in chords in. Most of the time it’s easier to buy all the music online and of course some songbooks come with a free power music copy.

Awesome App!

Use this every week for performances, every band practice and alongside the Worship Backing Band App for learning new material and honing existing songs. The ability to edit chord sequences, instantly change key, carry my music collection with me and for the odd time that something new comes up in rehearsal, to download new licensed material straight into PM is brilliant. PM evolves with new features, the support team is ultra responsive, what's not to like? If like me you play with a band, have solo gigs, guest with other bands then using PM is a "no brainer"!

Love it

A great tool, this is a must especially for worship leaders. You have your full compliment of worship songs at a few touches of your iPad, or should I say with the pedal attached by blue tooth, a few taps. In preparing you can search a word and call up every song that covers it. To change key for guitarists you can easily touch the # or Bb and so adapt seemlessly with other musicians using your Capo. I no longer have a paper chase preparing for worship and by linking up with other musicians and synchronising the displays you can all be singing from the same hymn sheet πŸ˜‡

Love it...

Got into using this step by step... First got Power Music Essentials for my laptop to try it out and moved a lot of the chords sheets and music I use when playing in church, etc, over to it. After a few months I managed to buy a used iPad from a friend and bought the App. Now I'm hooked! Personally I prefer to prepare things on the laptop - not a short coming of the App, just my preference (more used to the user interface!). Then I use Power Music Box to move pieces to the iPad. Currently debating which page turner to get a that would make life much easier, and what the best way to display and increasing amount of bass music will be. Good thing is that you can ease your way into using Power Music and feel the water before plunging in. Think I'm getting involved close to the top diving board!

Pretty good

Like that it works with a Bluetooth pedal and that I can get to all the songs on the church PCs via the mybox function. Great editing with really easy chord input.

Brilliant program

I have been using this software for nine months and find it is brilliant. It is so useful to be able to transpose a song up or down so easily, and to be able to change pages/songs with a foot pedal without interrupting playing.
