6 Years Strong!
UPDATE: THANK YOU! It’s 2026 and the developer has added custom themes. I’m super happy with the results. Highly recommend purchasing the pro version.
UPDATE: This app is still holding my life together in 2025. Still hoping for a customization update to change from the apps default blue color🙏🏾
Original: So this is my rating after using the app for 4 years. This app definitely caters to those in school or with a busy schedule. Im in school and have 2 jobs. I add my jobs as a class on the app and it's made managing my schedule so much easier. I swear this app is solely keeping my life together.
I've tried other planner apps as well over the years and always end up coming back to Power Planner. Being able to access the app on your different devices is great. There's a ton of helpful features but the UI also stays simple and digestible. The developers have done a wonderful job!
My only request is allowing the user to customize the color of the app's user interface. That's probably the only thing I truly dislike is the default blueish-purple color.

Great Concept, but Mediocre Interface
Truthfully, although there are other planners that look more aesthetically pleasing than yours, nevertheless, yours has more potential and utility, if only you add more sections for Professor’s information, syllabuses/syllabi, and continue to progressively enhance the user experience. I’m confident you will do so, and therefore, I am sticking with PowerPlanner, as I’m fully confident you’ll get the job done. Btw, great job on adding a cross interface with Google calendars and Apple Calendar — that is a rarity.

Best School Organizer Ever
This app has really helped me in organizing my work schedule for school. I’m in university so having a dedicated app that notes classes, grades, credits, and assignment due dates has been incredibly useful! Definitely worth the money!
i love it
I really like this app. It is free and easy way to organize your class assignments.

Terrific
Used this app successfully throughout high school. I’m now a student at Cornell, and I still prefer power planner over any other scheduling app I’ve tried.
Nearly perfect if some issue can be solved.
I’m glad this app finally comes macOS. However, I feel really disappointment that the app always crashed instantly after running it. Hope the developer could fix the problem soon.
Update in Sept 18, 2026: Glad the developer quickly updated the app to fix the crash problem. As the app now become nearly perfect, I feel it would be better if some bugs, like dialog of editing course details turns black and app did not runs in background, can be fixed, which definitely makes the app more perfect.

Best organizational app for students!! It’s designed SOOO specifically around academics and student life, all the features work so well, this is the app I’ve been looking for ❤️
Amazing app
I have the free version for so long and it’s amazing! I’ve never gotten an ad before, and it’s so simple but cute, also the premium is only $5, not even a subscription, just a one time purchase.

Very helpful for school and keeping my stuff organized
Simple and perfect, just one small thing…
I love using this planner in college. It is not overly complicated and it’s easy to add and remove things. I am on Mac btw.
My only complaint is the new update which made the sidebar for the app version permanent so I wish there is a retractable option made in settings but otherwise GREAT APP!

Love powerplanner
I swear if this app ever shuts down i’m gonna crash out. I have used this all throughout undergrad and am currently earning my doctorate with this app by my side. I have it on my computer and phone so i know all my deadlines
the best
Best homework planner app.. undergrad, grad school, + beyond
Gave it a try, but unusable.
I downloaded on two Macs and couldn’t even get through the process of adding my schedule without having to force close in Activity Monitor many times. Gave up after having to force close through Activity Monitor for the fifth time and only on my third class.
Got me through high school!
Power Planner was so helpful for keeping track of all my homework in high school, and it even told me what grade I needed to get on exams to keep an A in classes so I didn’t have to worry as much about some classes! The widgets are super useful too!
Love this planner!
This planner is great, I have used it for years and I have recommended it to so many people! Two things that would make it even better would be adding a search feature to search for assignments or events that are already on my calendar, and also adding an option to repeat annually. But otherwise I love it!!

Very useful for scheduling the exams during the year
After the upgrade the the categories menu is stocked - can’t dial further down
Awesome Service
I highly recommend this planner tool to everyone. It offers many unique features like customizing class color schemes, organizing your lists into tasks/events/holidays. And is completely flexible to a busy schedule. It is student-friendly with many ways to keep track of tasks (calendar, agenda, etc). Plus, customer service is fantastic. If there are glitches, they are quick to fix them! Though there are some in-app purchases for a premium account, it is overall worth downloading.
