So many of the other posted reviews are correct, but the app isn’t as bad as they may lead you to believe.
- There are few instructions on the app. Would like to see something like “turn your chain crank to activate the power meter” or something… Does not connect to the meter reliably
- Why does the app keep telling me I just updated the firmware when that upgrade happened over twenty four hours ago?
- Registering an account using the app is very difficult. Bad entry field prioritization, you will need to start the app multiple times, just so amateurishly designed.
- Purchasing upgrades doesn’t seem to work on iOS once the app takes you to the web site/portal. I had to log in using a computer’s web browser (Firefox) and even then the upgrade store worked like it was written by a ten year old

Impossible to update PM!

The quality of the Power2max itself is not in question. The app, which is an important partner to the power meter, lends you to believe otherwise.
The app works, but 1st do yourself a huge favor and register through the app-portal, not the app itself. The app and the Power2max website have the app-portal pass through. Once you register yourself, you can register your power meter. Then login to the app with your email and password you registered with on the app-portal. I did this and it worked. I was able to update my firmware and even register another power meter. The app seems to work fine now, and though both firmware updates stalled at times, I just killed the app and started over. Also the iPad app seems better than the iPhone app, but the iPhone did install the updates. Good luck.

Do not buy this power meter! The software is the worst quality. Why do I have to register more than once? Absolutely worthless software!!!

App startet problemlos, nach dem Registrieren vom Powermeter über die Website wie angegeben verbindet sich die App einwandfrei mit dem Powermeter. Gerätedaten (Batteriestatus etc) werden angezeigt, Firmware kann überprüft werden - alles fein.

Can’t log in after creating account
I’ve done everything asked. I create an account, password, and username.The app won’t let me login, no matter how many times I try.

No se puede conectar el potenciometro. Te echa para atrás solo. Te tiras 1h dándole a actualizar hasta que le apetece conectarse

Doesn’t find power meter then crashes. Not much use like this.
Poor interface.
Power meter works well while connected to Garmin devices however unable to connect this App via my iPhone.
Lacking features and any real value however not connecting to iPhone is definitely a deal breaker.

Latest version 525 is broken
The previous version worked fine. Latest version 525 sometimes finds the device but doesn’t connect. Can’t be the phone because other power meter apps connect just fine.

Garbage app means power meter doesn’t work
Can’t register the power meter through the app. Can do it manually through the portal o the browser. Can’t connect to the power meter through the app so can’t configure it or activate it. 1200 euro of power meter that doesn’t work because of this disgrace of an app.
Well, it used to work
Seems either their latest update broke the back end or they haven’t paid their bills in a while for their server hosting. I continually get “Service interface could not be activated” even after a full reinstall.

Connettendo il misuratore di potenza tramite Bluetooth mi dice che la batteria è scarica e non mi fa installare gli aggiornamenti ma la batteria è nuova, comprata un’altra batteria mi dice la stessa cosa. Invece all’avvio la spia verde lampeggia 3 volte quindi la carica è tra il 60-100% ed anche il garmin rivela che la batteria è in buono stato. Provato anche con un altro telefono ma il risultato è lo stesso

Great power meters - useless app
Even after the update, I can’t seem to do much in the app. It keeps freezing when trying to try the features 30 day trial.

Powermeter Top die App leider nicht
Die App hängt sich leider sehr oft auf und reagiert nicht mehr. Somit kann ich meinen neuen Powermeter nur mit sehr viel Geduld Registrieren und Konfigurieren. Ich hoffe das Problem wird bald behoben.
