This app is nothing but bugs, it’s bad to the point where you HAVE to work around it and do something you originally had in mind differently or not even do it period. A simple, beginner-friendly app that stresses you out.
I have been working on this project for days and finally when it’s almost time to finish the app decides to set me back to the very beginning after I spent hours on it. I exported my project and instead of it being 4:00 it came out as 56 seconds. Everything I did the app would randomly reset me back to that point, for no reason and it is infuriating. I exit to the home page, the project erases most of the work I did and now I have to continue from nearly square one. I switch apps, my project gets a reset.
Ridiculous, I’m actually livid this is one horribly ran app.

App freezes upon saving clip

やめた方がいい
1年契約のサブスク登録していますが、アップデートのたび何かしらの不具合(できていたものができなくなる)デグレしています。アプリもよく落ちます。余分にかかった編集時間返金して欲しいレベルで落ちます。勝手に音消えたりもします。話にならないです。7ヶ月しっかり利用してのレビューです。サブスク更新することはないです。AI機能もマジかと思うレベルで使えないです。

5分おきくらいに1回はフリーズしてデータ吹っ飛ぶので本当に論外マジで全額プラス無駄になった時間分金返せ

今回のアプデで無事文字打つと同じ文字が2重に勝手に入力されるバグが増えました。もはや1年前の方が使いやすかったです…全く使えないAI機能強化しないで最低限の編集するための機能ちゃんとやろうよ…こんなゴミの編集アプリでAIは使わんて…普通にちゃんとしたの使うから、最低限編集できればいいよもう…

今回のアプデ2026年8月初旬のは今までのバグが改善されてよかった。ただバグが正常になるのは正直当たり前、、AI機能がよく更新されるがただただ重くなるだけ、、これ最新のCPUとかじゃないとまともに動かないって、、普通の編集できてくれればいいんだって、、正直AI機能まともに使えること少ないんだから無駄な努力せず普通の編集機能追加して普通に動くようにしてくれよ、、1年前の方がよっぽどよかった、、

Great program - greedy devs
Power director is amazing! I use it regularly for insta edits and real estate tutorials! It is user friendly and quick. I just wish the devs weren’t Jews like every other big company ever . Of course you have to subscribe instead of one time payment to own, of course you need different subscription for different device, and of course it’s more AI instead of listening to customers.

Clunky and slow
Slow, janky, glitchy and expensive. Not ideal for iPhone editing unfortunately. If the app isn’t at least as good as IG edits then it’s not worth the money. I can get better functionality for free
PowerDirector
I like this app, but I wish it was not 9.16 and normal version (16.9)
Go with DaVinci
I have used PowerDirector for years both mobile and desktop, two days ago they did an update with a major push for AI features - since this update has happened the product is no longer even functional, the timeline constantly freezes, the app constantly freezes, moving the play head doesn’t change anything because the timeline is frozen, every 10 minutes I would have to close and reopen the program. I spent two days working through it on a project that would have normally taken 3-4 hours. I finally completed it, it was due yesterday but delayed
because of how broken their product became overnight. When I went back to review the final project before saving and exporting it there are subtitles of varying sizes and directions BURNED into the video itself with NO WAY to remove them because they weren’t ADDED - some scenes these subtitles take up the bottom 1/4 of the screen with letters so large that the lines run off the screen, another they are literally backwards - and I have no way to fix or repair this project, I tried removing the sections with these subtitles and re-adding them by manually cutting scenes from the master video file and replacing these sections on the track and the subtitles are still burned onto the screen. I hate that I have been a loyal customer to this company for years and they destroyed their product, and my product from that, so quickly that I now have to both pay for and learn a new editing software while also having MONTHS left on my paid subscriptions with both PowerDirector mobile and desktop because I have been paying for the subscriptions a year at a time
Save yourself the headache of having to pay for and learn a new program later and just start with DaVinci in the first place

Cheap and Amazing!
Doesn’t break the bank and does what other big apps do just the same. I don’t use anything else for my short form content on social media love this app!
Deleting?
I like the set up of the app but my projects keep deleting randomly and its so irritating since i was almost done with a good edit and then it just disappeared
Hit or miss
This app noise cancellation feature lags, causes voice to be off. Or sometimes mute the entire clip. Many other issues as well

I’ve had this app for a long time. It used to be fantastic, and they’ve been adding even more features, which is great. But this app is no longer deserving of the 4+ rating. They have added a lot of AI features that are very adult and explicit. Basically, you can take a photo and use AI to turn it into a video. This includes this like turning two photos into a video of those people kissing, etc., but it also includes things like making videos of women taking off their shirts to expose their bras. It includes many other adult features, like suggestive dancing, french kissing, and other sexual filters.
I don’t appreciate these “updates,” but I won’t tell you what to do or think. I just want you to know what you are downloading, and I suggest the app have an age rating update.

Very unhappy
Did their free trial and cancel it in the same hour, as I could not create a decent video, even using their tools, and with no app support, I was very frustrated, and just made the decision to cancel, and delete, only to find out that they charged me anyways and now I’m stuck with this subscription that I don’t want and can’t use. Can’t figure anything out and still haven’t uploaded a single video. I’m very dissatisfied and they’re free trial with anything but free
