Just what I was looking for!

This is a clean and simple app for tracking your practice schedules. It includes a great walkthrough on how to set it up. I have my technique and repertoire set up with different pieces and studies and it really helps me focus on what I need to do instead of just winging it. I find that I am much more focused and now I don’t have to worry about forgetting anything!

This is a PLANNER for musicians. Not just a journal.

This is a well thought music practice PLANNER, not just a Journal. Love it! :)
Organize your practices in categories etc. easy to use. I haven’t seen anything else that does this and this is just what i was looking for.

One of the best

What I love most about this app is that I can structure a different practice for every day of the week and easily continuously update my routines. I also like being able to complete my items in any order I like ( although that does make it easier for me to neglect certain things until the end of the session and sometimes they don’t get done).
I wish I could run the whole routine continuously and just click ‘next’ to move on from an item because stopping one item and then going back to the list to start another can break my momentum.
For it to be absolutely perfect, I would love to have a built-in tuner, metronome , recording option, a way of building timed breaks into the routine, and a journal because fewer apps make for less distraction, but this is still one of two favourites of the many I’ve tried so far ( the other being TuneUpgrade which is website-based).

Thanks for making this great practice tool!

Provides Structure to your practice

This is a great tool - to provide structure to your practice, as opposed to just playing at will. Each user defined practice has a memo area to quickly jot down any notes, specific to that technique or piece. Great to track your progress or as a reminder to address specific “challenging” areas. I use the “memo” to track my metronome progress when looking to increase my proficiency with scales, or my music pieces. Easy to copy routines to different days & add or delete practice areas. With a small upgrade, it can provide direct tracking of practice sessions, areas of practice and daily/weekly/monthly logs. Ultimately, I wish it could sync among devices, But this is a great tool!

Great but could be more

Any chance of a switch between programming and tracking practice? It’s a great app but I would much prefer it to track my practice habits. I am not really into programming each day with a rigid practice regime. Just want to do what I feel like and look at the stats to see the pattern.

I want to like this…

But so far it isn’t working. Where is the timer? All I can do is create lists.

Response from developer

Hello: You can refer to the video teaching in the App. When you create "rountines" and "items", your practice items for the day will appear in "Practice", and then click "Play remaining tasks" to start practicing. Thanks you.

It’s Good.. let’s make it Great!

Best Music practice app currently available. I am enjoying the customizations, timer & stats.. However adding small things would prompt me to pay triple the amount as a yearly subscription:

1) Metronome
2) Suggestions: Since the app keeps track of when was the last time anything was done, it’d be wise to suggest which songs or exercises have not been done in a while.
3) Accuracy-Tracker: Once a task is completed, option to journal how well or bad was it to track progress.

Please check out the Fitbod app as it’s the same concept. Thanks

Good App

This is a good app we need practice apps like this for guitar/bass even drums. Just hope they keep maintaining it. I had a similar one in past that stop working as they keep updating iOS

Thank you so much. Have a beautiful day.

Yes! Finally!

This is the practice app I’ve been looking for. I finally feel organized and focused and like I can stop trying to practice 8 million things at once.

Thank you so much Have a nice day today.

Great idea but can’t synch between devices.

I just downloaded this app. It was really great at the beginning, but very quickly I ran into trouble. 1-First, there is not tutorial 2-No appt support on the author’s website 3-The ipad version is not optimized, so what you get is the iphone version and when enlarged it looks blurry It would be fantastic if there was a session for notes and goals. That will make this app, the very best and most complete in this niche. Victor

Hi: 1. The tutorial is in "Settings > How to use" of the app. There is an introduction to how to use the app and some recommended videos for planning routings. Please take a look.
( All links open directly to youtube ) 2. We don't understand this issue, could you please elaborate further. Currently not compatible with Ipad and sync with different devices, sorry. Adding “goals” is a good idea, Thank you . We will discuss it at the meeting. Have a beautiful day.

Bravo

Best practice app I can find. This thing keeps me on task instead of endlessly shopping for guitar gadgets and wandering around YouTube. Would love to see a Mac & iPad version!! Well done.

Response from developer

Thank you very much. We wish you a happy guitar practice.

Not on an iPad

The edit practice routines shows only Sunday to Weds. Otherwise a useful app.

Outstanding

This is exactly what I needed - a way to track each piece I’m working on during my practice session. Good value for the money.

Excellent tool with unique feature

I’ve gone through a ton of other practice tracking apps and this one has something that no others have - the ability to create your own practice areas (technique, improvisation, repertoire, etc.) and then have individual custom items within those areas. Whenever you practice an item, it contributes to its respective practice area so that you can get a clear picture of which areas you’re practicing the most or need more time in.

A lot of other apps will only track individual items and don’t categorize them into areas of practice, so those apps tend to be a jumbled mess if you start building a large repertoire/practice item list.

Ideally, I would love to see the ability to export my data, but it’s not a deal breaker. Other than that, a really excellent app!

Very good

I have been searching for a good app to log my practice since my favourite app, Music Journal app stopped being supported by the developer a few years ago now.
This app is easy to use and very intuitive. One nice to have (minor) improvement would be if the pause button was a bit larger, but overall - I really like it.

Timer Resets

Was very happy to see the stats page issue was fixed but now if I leave the app for more than a minute (to pull up music or something), the timer completely resets. Very annoying bug and means I have to have a laptop with me if I want to track practice and read off music.

Response from developer

If the IOS system runs out of memory, the programs in the background may be automatically closed. This situation is related to hardware performance. Generally listening to music will not cause this problem, but it is more likely to encounter this problem if you turn on the 3D game probability. So although this APP can be run in the background, if you encounter this situation, please try not to open other programs that consume too much memory at the same time, and try to keep this APP in the foreground. ex. After using this APP to time, jump out and turn on Apple Music to play music, and then jump back to keep this App in the foreground. Thank you

Great Journal

I was surprised how easy the Journal was to set up. I upgraded to the player pack for stats etc. Fully customizable for what I or anyone would ever need. I would have paid more for this app. Thank you. I found exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you very much. Hope it can help you. wish you healthy.

Great

Not just for guitar. Simple and effective.
