About
pratnome is a metronome that changes the tempo for you. Start at 70 BPM, add 10 BPM every 4 bars, stop at 120 — and keep both hands on your instrument.
Set it up in seconds: choose a starting tempo, how many bars to play before each change and how much to go up or down. pratnome follows the plan bar by bar, so you build speed step by step without stopping to touch the screen.
THREE PRACTICE MODES
• Auto progression — the tempo rises or falls every few bars, between the limits you set.
• Fixed tempo — a classic, steady click for as long as you play.
• Silence training — the click drops out for a few bars and comes back. Are you still in time? Silences can stay fixed, grow longer or vary at random.
RHYTHM
• Time signatures from 2/4 to 12/8, or your own
• Subdivisions: eighths, triplets and sixteenths
• Swing for eighths and sixteenths
• Accent each beat: strong, normal, soft or mute
• A count-in before you start, or before every tempo change
PRACTICE PROGRAMS
Build routines from steps — each with its own tempo, bar count and rhythm — repeat them a set number of rounds or loop forever. Start from a ready-made template, share a program as a link, and start any saved program with one tap.
STAY ON TRACK
• Session target: stop after a number of minutes or bars
• Pause and resume exactly where you left off
• Practice history with weekly practice time and personal bests
• Voice announcements of the new tempo
APPLE WATCH
Follow the tempo, bar and step on your wrist, and start, pause or stop a session without picking up your phone.
