Great practice for the harder questions.

I bought other courses outside this app on the $300 range and the test between the 2 was very close. I appreciated this app far more as it focused on the harder questions. It made me read the charts and got me very familiar the testing supplement figures. I highly recommend it. Was able to finish with a 93% on the PAR.

Powered flight questions for glider pilot

I’m studying for my Private Glider Pilot license. Even though I’ve selected PGL, questions that are obviously for powered pilots show up occasionally, 5% to 10% of the time. This is extremely frustrating. I may consider using a different app.

Worth the money

I just got a 80 on my PAR using this and the computer version. I say it’s great to study on the go. I know it’s not the best score but it’s a passing score. And I’m happy with it! The hard part about using it on the phone is doing any course plotting is hard since the screen is so small and you can’t really see the maps so well and put your plotter on top to practice but if you screen shot and send the image to your iPad it helps. Good luck!

I wouldn’t rely solely on this

I got a 90% on my PAR written exam today but that’s after memorizing everything this app had to offer and learning some basics of flying in the aircraft. 1/3 of the questions I’ve either never seen were in the test, or the the questions and answers were worded very differently from Prepware. I think the FAA has finally caught on to students rote memorizing Prepware questions to pass the written instead of understanding the material and using critical thinking.

93 on my PAR today

Worth every penny! Used this over the last two weeks as a final prep to my PAR exam. There was 4 total questions on my exam that this app didnt have. All others were either word for word or close enough I was rest.

Amazing app

GOTCH YA

Hell yaa i love doing my ppl twice

Do not buy...

I haven't yet used the mobile version of this app but judging by the desktop version, I don't expect it to be worth anywhere near $10.
You can't exit from Study flashcard deck without closing the deck, and it doesn't even save your marked cards or quiz results (in Study mode).
$10 is a lofty price for some lousy code. You can find all of these questions on the King free test website.

Good but missing essential questions for the written exam

.

There are much better alternatives

If you get down every question on here you’re likely to pass at least. But understand it’s missing a large amount of questions. It’s much better to bite the bullet for something nicer like Shepard Air. I understand the convenience of the app but you won’t regret passing over it in lieu of better. Overall it’s okay in performance, even though its interface is very limited and low quality. Just understand this should not be your only lifeline, only a convenient supplement.

Different questions from the PAR test

I just took the exam two days ago, and during the exam, I came across almost 15 questions or more that I was seeing for the first time. Maybe because the new year has just started and they have updated the exam questions but this is definitely something prepware should look at

Please fix grading

On the study portion while taking the exam the app gives you the answer and it does allow you to push through without selecting the right option. So instead allowing to take it and then see what you need work on after grading you will always get 100% which defeats the purpose.

GODS GIFT TO PILOTS!

If you’re in ground school get this app

Great, except the VOR questions

Studying for US fixed wing PPL. Some questions that require drawing a line between 2 fixes can’t be done accurately because I can’t see the entire chart on my tablet, nor can I zoom out

Macbook app not working properly

The app for on the macbook has a bunch of bugs and not all the features work. otherwise love the app super useful and beneficial.

Worth it… for the most part.

I’m studying over 700 questions from this app, and I’ve noticed that some answers are just wrong. It only took a quick google search to prove their answers wrong. These wrong answers are very inconsistent though, despite them, this app seems very dependable, material wise. The mechanics of the app itself could use some work, but, I don’t regret buying it.

10/10 would recommend

Every single question on my written was on the app, granted they were worded a little differently but if you understand the question then the answer becomes clear. Same numbers as the written for the calculations again the only difference we’re how things were worded. I would highly recommend studying using this app!!!!

Good app but could get better support from ASA

App is very useful in studying for the exam. Private pilot questions are pretty accurate. Their other apps, like instrument, have erroneous questions, outdated questions, missing figures. Worst of all, now the status bar at the top has a bug in which the text font is black on black background. So your score is not visible! I have to tell my students to switch the iPad to dark mode to see their score. All of these bugs need to be fixed and the developer needs to be more responsive to get a higher rating.

Nothing beats ASA prep... but...

I've taken some practice tests for the FAA PAR written exam via the Sporty's app and also on the ASA site. When I saw the ASA app the purchase was a no-brainer. ASA's test prep is stellar. Their test prep books are the gold standard. Their practice tests rise above those on the Sporty's app. (The test questions seem harder on ASA- which is good.) However, the ASA iPad app disappointed me a bit: The practice tests on the app don't "score" your grade - just highlight the wrong answers. I expected practice tests akin to their website, which not only scores your grade but scores each topic area individually and provides a green/yellow/red strength/weakness report by topic. Therefore, I'm only giving this app 3 stars.

Okay Questions but Weak Features

The questions are well put together and make good sense. The issue is that the app is very weak in terms of letting you see how you have been doing, having intelligence to focus you on areas you struggle, etc. if the features within the application matured, this would be a top-notch application as the questions are solid.

I got a 93%!!!

That’s right I got a flipping 93% on my first attempt and it’s mostly thanks to this app and YouTube (and of course a good CFI)!!! I used this during lunch breaks for weeks and took practice exams. Woot!
