Such a great way to learn letters!
We love this app!! Both of my kids learnt their letters happily through the fun space game. We sing the alphabet song and talk about letters all the time at home, but they didn't seem to absorb that info until they played this. Thank you!!
Not good!
This game is horrible. My 3 year old even said it was not fun. I don't even think it is worth the $0.99. There are so many better preschool apps out there.
Worth it
My 2 yr old and 3 yr old sons both love this app. It is simple and not as involved as some other apps, however, it keeps their attention quite well. Their favorite game is the ABC invasion game. A cute child's voice says a letter. Your child is then to touch the letter that was said. When the correct letter is touched, a rocket ship will deliver a robot/alien creature, covering up the letter. I like that both upper and lower case letters are used.

Educational but...
Educational but the sound could be adjustible (especially for the iPod touch with low speaker sounds--I don't want my 3 & 5 year olds wearing headphones yet!).
Perfect for a 2 year old
My nephew loves this game! He is 2 years old and goes from game to game on my iPod, but this game he will play forever. He loves the letter game on this and how the aliens dance down afterwards

My 3 and 5 years both love this game and come back to it. I'm not crazy about the american typewriter font however. Kids don't learn letters with those giant goofy serifs. In fact, since much of your audience is just learning letters, it might be best to use all uppercase sans serif -- Helvetica maybe.

My son has been playing this game since he was 2yrs..he just turned 3 and still enjoys it. Love this educational app. Wish they would come out with more.

My 3-year old nephew was pretty disappointed with PreSchool Arcade. He lasts the longest with the Alphabet version of Space Invaders. Neither of us could figure out the 'why' and 'what for' in the Numbers game. You touch a pinball, it stops on a road. A vehicle appears and then stops on the same road... you wait.... eventually you decide to touch the car which causes it to drive the ball towards the middle of the screen and then (depending on how long you repeat this) the next consecutive number flashes on the screen. "Three!". Rinse and repeat. We never made it past number 4 because it was so boring. The third game, claw crane match, is okay. It's about matching an image to its silhouette. Midly entertaining, but, and I quote, "Let's play a different game, okay?" There are some cool ideas in this game, I appreciate the effort, but... it's not worth my 3 year-old nephew's time. Not even 2 minutes. So....

Excellent for a boy!
Best educational game for learning letters for my son! Quick, exciting and has monsters ...what else could he want! He's learning his letters without realizing it!
Boring and repetitive
I got this for my 3 year old after reading some rave reviews. All three games are very simple and she got bored in a few minutes. Maybe the games are OK for younger children but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it. You can do a lot better with some of the other iPhone apps for kids.

My lito sister is 4 and he is goin to preschool dis year and she loves this and the other one that has the cow in the front. But in the alphabet thing like it tells u to press "G" but my sister guesses and all that but i think if they press the wrong letter she should also say te one they touched so they also kno what that is too and i kno they say it later on bt they should say it to if its wrong other than dat its GREAT!!!!

My two-year-old loves this!
I added this to my touch for my two-year-old to play. He loves it! Its easy enough for him to play completely on his own. He loves the letters game and keeps busy learning the lower-case letters. Definitely worth the small cost!
Should be great but there are a couple of issues
I don't understand how no one else seems to have run into these problems, but in the Matching game, if you select one of the toys that you have already matched, the claw will grab it, drop it out the door and it will move to the top left of the screen. The game then acts as if you have made a correct match. There are several other odd behaviors with this game as well. Also the exit box disappears sometimes. Could someone please fix these problems ?
Also, the counting game is kinda neat looking but doesn't make much sense. In short the whole package is a nice little short term activity for your child, but I don't see any reason for the wildly happy endorsements from the other reviews, especially given the glitches in the program.
