You were right, and thank you for reporting it clearly enough that we could find it! When we expanded the story with the fight event, the "No" answer was recorded but never actually connected to what followed. The event went ahead regardless of what you chose. That was a bug, not a design decision, and it made the removal that followed feel arbitrary because it was. It's fixed in the next update. Declining now genuinely cancels the event, and we've also added a warning when your approval enters the danger zone, so being removed is something you can see coming and act on rather than something that just happens. Sorry for the run this cost you! Please update your app to see the changes.
Stupid
Response from developer
Dear Joseph, Thank you, and sorry your run ended that way. The fight is a real bug: when we expanded the story, the "No" answer was recorded but never connected to what followed. Fixed in the next update, declining now actually cancels it. The impeachment wasn't sudden either, approval erodes across several decisions and a compounding deficit penalty, and nothing told you. The update warns you before it gets critical and names the cause. Every decision that required spending also has a free option. On replays, the beats are fixed, but finishing a term now gives a real ending with a record of what your presidency did to the country, and that differs a lot by how you governed.
Scam
Response from developer
Sorry, that's a bad experience and I understand the frustration. To be clear on the money: purchases are kept separately and aren't wiped when a run ends. But two things made it feel that way. Several decisions used to have no free option, so a balance could drain into choices you couldn't decline, and we've now added a no-cost route to every one of them. We also found and fixed a bug where some purchases were charged but never credited. The plane didn't cause the impeachment either. Approval erodes across many decisions and a compounding deficit penalty, and nothing warned you. The next update warns you before it becomes critical and names what's driving it. If you email us the receipt from your purchase we'll make it right: hello@moreclues.com
Ads galore
Trash.
Response from developer
Hi, The game can be completed without any in-app purchases. We do use timers to break the chapters, but each timer is 30 minutes and could be skipped by watching rewarded ads. These games take months to create, so spending a minute to watch a rewarded ad is a small, but valuable gesture for us! Sorry you had a bad experience!
Trap you
Response from developer
You're right, and that was a design failure rather than an intention. The Mars funding decisions had no option that cost nothing, so if you hadn't banked money earlier there was no way past them. Every one of them now has a free route, along with every other decision in the game that used to demand cash. We're still rebalancing what skipping costs you, because falling behind shouldn't be unrecoverable either. Thanks for the review!

Hi, The game can be completed without any purchases, all the in-game purchases are optional.
To many ads
Response from developer
Fair point, and we agree. Skipping a wait took three ads, which is more than it should be. We're reducing it, and cutting how often ads appear during play generally. Thanks for flagging it.
Do not pay for subscriptions

Hi, If you encountered any bugs during the gameplay, please contact us at hello@moreclues.com.
Pay to play
Response from developer
Sorry it made you feel this way. The main problem was that several decisions had no affordable option at all, so being frugal didn't help. Every decision now has a free route. We're also cutting how often ads appear and reducing what it takes to skip a wait. Please come back to the latest 1.1.0 version and give us your thoughts.

Thank you for the feedback! The game is designed to be finished without purchases - the scarce budget is the central challenge, and tax and spending decisions early on determine how tight things get later. We hope you'll give it another term, a different fiscal strategy makes for a very different presidency.
Pay wall
Response from developer
Hitting a wait timer in your first minutes is not the experience we want; We are working on the update that is extending the opening session so you can play well past that point before energy matters. The full game is completable without purchases (and you can skip the timer if you watch a rewarded ad for free), we'd be glad to have you back for a fair first impression!
Has to be one of the most horrible and money grabbing games
You then receive a screen stating that you have to wait roughly 30 minutes to play the game, unless you pay for a subscription?? Once that is done, not only did you waste 30 minutes of your time, but you have to pay $10 USD to purchase in game money to progress through the story.
Don’t bother playing this game. This game is a shame, and a literal waste of time and storage. These devs had nothing better to do but to attempt to make money off you. Absolute horrible development. Don’t bother.
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback Tommy, and sorry the experience ended in frustration. To clarify for anyone reading: the game is fully completable without purchases. The budget is intentionally scarce - big commitments like a full cabinet or a major aid package have real trade-offs, and overextending early is what triggers the squeeze. We're improving a lot of mentioned things in an upcoming update. We'd welcome you back for another term!
Good luck
