Light Dark rant

Previous review I talked about using hybrid strategies felt wired with the payout. Let me explain. It shows money currently bet as not part of your bankroll (as it should). Then let say you have a $100 dc on the 4 and $20 on the 5, 9 and $10. The 7 rolls. It says the payout was $40 (it’s subtracting the $20 on the 5, 9 and 10 and adding $100 won on the dc). But the bankroll goes up $200 (the $100 won on the dc and $100 pulled down from the dc). This is confusing, as the lost bet doesn’t affect your bankroll, but the won bet does. While I love the fact it doesn’t count currently bet monies as part of the bankroll (it’s not profit until it’s in your rack), it’s confusing as to why it treats light and dark side bets differently.

Great app

Great mirror of real craps. Great to lean. Great to practice. Great to play.

Random number generator is flawed

This game is insane,y frustrating. Numerous times it shows one number on the dice but then states a different number came up. I’ve had numerous situations where I rolled a 12 five times in a row, and I have PSOed 20 times in a row on another occasion. Completely ridiculous.

Meh

★★☆☆☆ — Great Craps Game, Terrible iPhone Real Estate

Okay, listen. This craps app would actually be pretty damn good if I could use the entire freaking screen.

I’m on an iPhone, not a goddamn Etch A Sketch. Why is the bottom portion of the craps table apparently located in another dimension? I’m trying to make a bet, but the controls are buried so low on the screen that I need the fingers of a six-foot-seven NBA center to reach them.

You’ve got the dice, the table, the odds, the numbers—great. Beautiful. But then you get down to the bottom of the screen and suddenly it’s like, “Sorry, buddy. You don’t have clearance for this section.”

I shouldn’t have to rotate my phone, squint at it, close three menus, and perform a minor exorcism just to get to the damn Pass Line.

And when you’re playing craps, timing matters. Nobody wants to spend 45 seconds fighting the interface while the shooter is standing there waiting to roll. That’s how you turn a hot table into a cold table.

The actual game: 👍
The iPhone screen layout: 👎
Accessibility of the bottom controls: Somewhere in the Mariana Trench.

Fix the bottom-screen controls and give iPhone users access to the whole table. Until then, I’m giving this app two stars—and one of those is purely because I still love craps.

Now excuse me while I try to reach the DON’T PASS button without dislocating my thumb.

Response from developer

Hi, I'd love to dive into this improvement with you, if you help me understand the problem. Can you email me at our support email: info@emberdigitaltech.com - it would help me to understand the phone model and iOS version you're using so I can diagnose and fix any issues you have. Happy to dive in and help.

Pretty good

Runs well, I can’t figure out how to pull bets down, maybe needs a clear all bets button, One game I had a $100 lay bet and hit a 7 and it just left the bet up, could also use a repeat last bet button, also it doesn’t add chips correct, example I have a 5 dollar chip on the 5 and I click on the 1 dollar chip and click on the 5 dollar bet
On 5 and instead of making the bet 6 dollars, it makes it 10, this app needs a little
More work and it will be 5 star
