Loss of Good Utility Design
I hate this app’s existence. We lost the ability to swipe and view images on Files.
Why did they add this the phone?
This makes searching so much harder. The scan feature is awesome, but they simply could’ve made a scan app or added it somewhere else.
Why do we need this app?
Ever since Apple introduced this app, it is more cumbersome to view a file or a series of files all of which we were able to do easily before introducing this piece of uselessness.
FILES AND DOCS SUCK
everytime Apple updates these phones they get worse these apps suck no one wanted something like this at all it completely ruined my browsing experience on my files app I can’t even swipe through photos or files anymore it takes me to iMovie ever since I deleted the preview app.
Also can somone tell these god dang clowns to fix the camera app why tf is flash not staying on and why tf is auto brightness completely destroyed on my phone I can’t even see it sometimes bugged tech

Crashes every 2 seconds
i go to mark up something as soon as i touch it crashes
What is my purpose?
This app seems to exist just to make viewing files more difficult than it needs to be. Loved the old stuff hate this badly
Annotations Don’t Save
Doesn’t actually save the annotations. Use something else

this app is so trash how do you keep fumbling the bag!?!? there was already a pdf reader. you didn’t have to do anything and instead you made the experience higher friction, and less elegant. this app accounts for several hundred of the tiny cuts that lead to apple going defunct.

So annoying
This is the most annoying app ever and it adds nothing new. You can already scan documents and edit pdfs from Files. Also the auto snapshot of the document for scanning is so frustrating and the interface is infuriating. I'm coming here to uninstall because I just found out it's not a necessary system app. I never leave reviews for bad things; typically I only leave reviews for things I love, but this app is so bad I had to say something. Like did someone's son buy the soul of an apple board member? Is that how this app still exists on every iphone? Some dark blood-covenent contract? Has it just been forgotten? Why does it exist????? Genuinely would love to know.

Probably would be best to rename this app to “editor” or something of that nature, because it seems to have some value to some people when it comes to editing PDFs, but as far as previewing other files like videos and pictures, it’s absolutely horrible. We don’t need another app for this, just make a better files app! Zero stars!

PDF not opening
Since the most recent iOS update none of the pdf’s on my phone open.. They are a blank screen..
Detest this app
I never wanted this app, I was able to open documents in my files before it. Now any document I open force opens preview. I tried deleting the app but now my phone struggles to open a 1 page pdf.
Only Apple could make it this hard to easily view pdf files
I just want to view pdf files in my chosen browser. I don’t want to download them to Files each time. I have purchased cars faster and with less trouble than using this app and Files to see PDF files. Honestly Apple, do better.

Why are we forced to use this app
I find it frustrating that I cannot set a default app for opening PDFs on my iPad. This app is annoying and I would prefer to use a different one.
Stupid Addition
Please let the “iPhone”, stay the “iPhone”, don’t just push apps of macbook for the sake of your so called “ecosystem”
Extremely frustrating.
The app itself is really glitchy and annoying. Everything changes whether you want to or not like the colour of the page to the text size. This app needs serious maintenance cause it could be super useful if it only worked properly.
