Not very useful
They haven’t bothered to integrate the app properly with website logins. If you update your username/password from the default then you’re out of luck. You have to use your card number and pin. The website doesn’t let you add a pin but lets you change from your pin to a password. So bye bye to using this app once you’ve done that. There isn’t a workaround yet

Log on
Do I actually have to put in my 14 number card number every time I log onto this app? Maybe I am missing something.
THIS APP IS AMAZING
yes the app may look dated but it allows me to read books for free online and on the go. only if you have a library card which you can get easily at your local library service. 10/10 would recommend
good for reserving books
A good addition to the many free services the library offers. Makes it easy to search catalog and request book reservations from the phone.
Slow and slow
Trying to get this app to perform basic functions is tedious at best. Please re evaluate it and fix the issues. It could be a great tool if it worked properly.
OK but needs improvements
Cons: I agree that the cancel button is too large & gets accidentally pushed just by scrolling through my account. Then have to request it AGAIN & lose spot in countdown. Also, what’s the point of activation date?? Where is the due date??
Pros: Convenient to search for books & review. Easy to see what is held & to renew. But renewal numbers are not correct.

Why this app is helpful.
I don’t live In PG county. I live in HoCo. This app is so useful. You can reserve books. If you forget your library card don’t worry. There is an virtual library card in the app! The drop system is awesome as well! I can drop off my books at the HCLS system and they will send it to the PGCMLS themselves! This app also has an online catalog like the website.

Mediocre
This is designed horribly. The layout doesn’t resemble the website at all and literally reserving an item or checking availability is a strenuous and convoluted process. It is also very difficult to see what is actually held and what is still on a waiting list. The cancel buttons on the waiting list are too large and can be accidentally pushed at anytime. I was scrolling through my list and must have accidentally canceled a request i had been waiting for. I had to request again pushing me further back in line. It doesn’t even ask for confirmation to see if the push was intentional. This needs a lot of improvement.

Needs a new update?
When it works, I'd give it 5 stars. However, it's been freezing on the home screen for the past month. I've deleted and reinstalled it multiple times to not avail. There must be a bug they have to fix.
So easy to use!
Love this new upgrade! Ebook integration is fabulous. So easy to search and find things now. Awesome!
Thanks for the upgrade
So glad you fixed the request a title feature. Had to have it. I like the geolocation features for finding a book that is available on the shelf. And I like being able to add upcoming events to my calendar. Good changes.
Would rate higher, but . . .
The app isn't very user friendly or useful.
Scanning a barcode doesn't work correctly. At first it wanted to take my picture. Then once it switched to the correct camera, all it did was beep. It didn't tell me if the item was available. In other words, nothing happened.
After searching the catalog for an item, there's no way to put it on hold. That function needs to be added. Otherwise why use the app? You can simply use the library's website.
The only good thing about the app is that you can use it to check your account to see what you have due before going to the library. But you could also do that on the website.

A downgrade in every way (0 stars)
Worst offense: You can't reserve items from the app even though the help screen says you can (and we could from previous app).
Next problem is that the user interface stinks and tons of poor programming. For example, sometimes to go back you hit "back" in the upper left. Other times you hit "close" in the upper right. And sometimes you don't go back to the screen you were just at. And most of the buttons on an item's page are inactive after going to see locations and then going back to the item page. And... I think you get the idea.
The app has been out for almost a half year and hasn't been updated even though there is obviously work to be done.

Worse than I originally thought
2nd take: There is no way to put a hold on a book. This is an essential feature and it was available in the previous 2 mobile apps.
1st take: When first released, it wouldn't allow a log-in. After calling support, they got it working within a couple days. Now my biggest gripe is that it won't display in landscape mode on my iPad. Also, nothing shows in my loan history, despite the fact that I've been borrowing books for years.
