Not really feeling this one

Thanks for giving Prism Pop a try! We actually consider '1986 TV graphics' a massive compliment—our brand is intentionally built around retro-futurism and audio-hacker aesthetics. Regarding the learning curve: Prism Pop is specifically designed as an experimental, interactive generative synth. While the in-app help menu explicitly defines the parameters for all 5 DSP engines (Bubble, Rainbow, Cloud, etc.), the core philosophy is organic discovery rather than following a step-by-step manual. It’s built for twisting knobs and seeing what happens. To expand the sonic palette, an update is already live that adds dedicated MIDI keyboard support and enhanced effect bubbles. I highly recommend running it in AUv3 mode paired with external effects. Finally, since Prism Pop is primarily an AUv3 plugin, preset management is handled directly by your host DAW, but I have officially added native standalone preset saving to our development backlog. Feel free to reach out to dev@ancientapparatus.com if you want any tips on navigating the synth!

A drowning robot and a hippo chewing gum are exactly the kinds of generative textures we built this DSP engine for. Thanks for the 11/10! If you want to make that drowning robot sound even grittier, I highly recommend loading Prism Pop into your DAW and routing it through our Tapes on Tapes plugin. Adding that multi-tape cassette saturation to the generative bubbles takes the sound design to a completely different level. Keep experimenting!
