Bug fix

User reviews

Don’t really care for Pros & won’t let you share to other pros on the FB page my opinion!

I’m honestly really frustrated with the current client cancellation policy. A 12-hour window is simply not enough time for Pros to be protected or fairly compensated.

I just had a $190 appointment scheduled for tomorrow at 10 AM canceled today. If the policy required a 24-hour notice like many other platforms, I would at least receive 50% of the service fee. Instead, because it falls within the 12-hour window, I receive nothing.

Now I’m left with an empty slot that is nearly impossible to fill on such short notice. I also turned away other clients who needed that time because it was already booked, and some of them have now scheduled elsewhere or pushed their appointments to next week.

For many of us, this isn’t just extra income — this is our full-time career. When last-minute cancellations happen with no compensation, it directly impacts our livelihood.

Pros are the ones out in the field delivering the services and maintaining the quality and reputation that the Priv platform is built on. I really hope the cancellation policy is reconsidered so that there is more balance and protection for the professionals on the platform.

Now I can’t even post my feedback on the FB page it keeps getting deleted.

Low pay

This program is probably a good fit for those who have just finished makeup training and are starting their journey in the industry — for people who simply need to gain hands-on experience and make some connections.

I registered and passed the casting, but I won’t be working with them. They set a flat rate of $96 for all makeup artists and then take 60% of that.
Unfortunately, I just can’t work for those prices, and I honestly don’t know how others do it.

I use high-end luxury products and have over 10 years of experience. A client visit alone costs me around $18 in bridge tolls and about $30 for parking, which basically makes the makeup session free.
It’s a pity that the creators undervalue this field so much and don’t distinguish artists by their level of expertise.

But if you’re just starting out, this might be a decent opportunity to gain experience, build your portfolio, and at least cover the cost of your products.
Good luck to everyone!

I’ve had my own rate for years — $250–300 — and I signed up only because I recently moved to New York. But even here, people and clients already know me. Unfortunately, I just can’t work for those prices, and I honestly don’t know how others do it.

Nice concept, but the app barely works

I’m a makeup pro who would love to get consistent bookings through priv. Unfortunately, the app crashes each time I open it. If they didn’t text me personally for appointments, then this service would be entirely useless to me.

Complete waste of time

They rarely have clients and if they do have clients you won’t get booked. They make you pay for your own background check and for what?
