For years I had it on my Android. It was ok until they discontinued the voicemail function.
I just recently switched to iOS and now it’s totally worthless. Doesn’t do a thing and all the download updates for iOS doesn’t function or there is no clear path to fixing what is wrong.
Being a paid subscription, is all the more frustrating.

Was great
Had this app for a few years worked great now with latest update the took away voicemail and I couldn’t call out or receive any calls.
Service suddenly discontinued
I’m pretty disappointed right now. I got an alert saying Privacy Star has been discontinued. I have found no reason on the web for this but I can’t even get the app to open. Time to look for a new app!

I was just annoyed with telemarketers.. omg.
Then got smart and called from my area code. I didn’t know any specific app but I found this one and I’m currently downloading it to my new phone.

Blocked import calls
I’ve had this app in my phone for several years. I thought it was great when I was an android user, but since switching to iPhone it had done nothing to block any kind of calls, including numbers I had reported as spam. Until today…. It blocked three call backs from customer a customer service company, and I want even aware of it until I had three voicemail from a “privacy star blocked number”. So frustrating.

Don’t Bother
I installed on Oct 18. App failed to block scam calls. Apparently does not work with TMobile after reading it did. It was however, suppose to have compatible with my iPhone.
Sells Your Data
Exactly one day after downloading this app, I started getting all kinds of bogus texts that were clearly trying to data mine my information.
If you do download the app, make sure you go through signing up for them to not sell your data. I think it’s ridiculous, though, that they sell your information to the same companies they’re stating they’re trying to stop for you.

Doesn’t block any number nor can it identify. Subscribed for the year but won’t be renewing.

This app will hi Jack your phone number!! you will NOT receive any voicemails!! I had to have my phone number changed uninstall this app was not good enough this app should be illegal to have in the App Store.
Works well but needs to warn before making changes to our phones
The caller ID warnings work well. However, without any warning, the app took over my voicemail, so they were no longer showing up on my phone app, and callers were no longer hearing my outgoing message, instead they were hearing a generic message from this company. Not to mention the privacy issues with storing my voicemails on this company’s servers instead of the carrier’s servers. That is totally unacceptable! I’m turning off this app until these things are changed.

New Update is AMAZING!
The other day I opened PrivacyStar to do a lookup and noticed it got a huge update! Since then, I’ve noticed I’m receiving better coverage for Caller ID AND it shows an image with it! How cool?! It’s been a while since the apps been updated but this makes it worth the wait!
Did not miss my Rx refill thanks to PrivacyStar
Privacy Star app caught the call and displayed the pharmacy was calling. Without this feature, I would have missed my refill order in a timely manner.
