App crashing on launch? Try this manual fix!
If the app instantly closes upon opening on your iOS device, you can bypass the app entirely and still use your premium subscription information to manually set up a working VPN. Apple devices have a built-in VPN client that can connect directly to Privado's servers.
How to fix it:
STEP 1: GET YOUR SERVER AND CREDENTIALS
Before using your iPhone settings, you need to collect your unique configuration details using a web browser:
1. Open Safari (or Chrome) and log into your account on the PrivadoVPN website.
2. Your username for manual configurations will be displayed on your main account page. (Note: This username might look different from your standard login email. Copy it down).
3. Open the PrivadoVPN Server List page.
4. Choose a city location close to you and copy its Server Name. It will look something like ams-005.vpn.privado.io or mia-003.vpn.privado.io
STEP 2: INPUT SETTINGS ON IPHONE
Now that you have your credentials, you can configure your iPhone VPN:
1. Open your iPhone Settings app and go to General then VPN.
2. Tap Add VPN Configuration...
3. Set up the fields exactly as follows:
- Type: Tap this and select IKEv2
- Description: Give it a name, like Privado Manual.
- Server: Paste the server name you copied in Step 1 (e.g., mia-003.vpn.privado.io).
- Remote ID: Type *.vpn.privado.io exactly as written (include the asterisk).
- Local ID: Leave this completely blank.
- User Authentication: Select Username.
- Username: Enter your PrivadoVPN username from your online dashboard.
- Password: Enter your PrivadoVPN password.
- Proxy: Off.
4. Tap Done in the top-right corner to save.
To connect, simply tap the checkmark next to Privado Manual and flip the Status switch at the top to Connected.
Once saved, you can turn the VPN on or off directly from your main iPhone/iPad settings menu without ever needing to open the app again!

Not working
Too bad ,I paid 2 years,but this app can’t work on my iPhone ,always can’t connect,delete and redownload, tried several times,but no work,if u are consider,please stop ur stupid thinking
It was good but…
This would’ve been a five starts but the von no longer works for me in when I had my 2 week stay in china, I’m really sad that it stopped working because this was the best free von and I could find, please fix your vpn it was so good before :C
Love it but lacks needed locations.
I’m forced to trade privacy for another VPN. This VPN works perfectly and connects but the problem is it lacks the locations I actually want.
Buggy app
Always randomly logs you out, disconnects, or stuck on loading screen for 30+ minutes, refreshing doesn’t work, only uninstalling and reinstalling.
