Very glad someone has finally done the Prophet V.
It works extremely well, sounds great, and has some excellent modern additions, like the step sequencer, arpeggiator, and digital effects.
Also (very important), the developer is very responsive. Several updates have already come out, including one I requested.
The Prophet V, one of the most iconic instruments of the late 70s and beyond, is on iOS. Strongly recommended.

An enjoyable synth with excellent support
This synth is a joy to use and is getting better all the time. When I emailed the developer about trouble importing a .scl file, he got back to me right away and it was fixed in the next release. Fantastic!
Epic but Needs Easy Bug Fix
I’m loving the tones I’m getting out of this! However, as a drummer who’s often playing bass with my left hand, I noticed that in mono mode, you still get overlapping polyphony with a long Release. Not sure if this is reflecting the original hardware (for instance, this isn’t an issue in other apps like J6 nor King of FM which I also love), but either way, it’d be great if a future update could include a true monophonic voice mode so triggering a new note while, a previous note is still releasing, will actually retrigger the VCA instead of adding second (or even 3rd) voice.

Prophet-5のエミュレーションアプリをずっと待っていました。リリースしてくれてありがとう。以前当レビューでノイズの問題を指摘しましたが、V1.3で改善されました。プリセット音色にも面白いものが多いです。
ただ、エディットした音色がUser Bank以外にもセーブ出来てしまうのは少し問題だと思います（プリセットサウンドのアップデートで、以前作った音色が消えてしまいました）。こちらも改善してもらえると嬉しいです。

Die Presets sind super. Die Soundmöglichkeiten sind enorm.
Es macht extrem viel Freude zu tweaken und zu schrauben.
Und jetzt nach dem Update mit Microtonalen Scalen…. Einfach umwerfend.

Durch die Updates wird der wirklich außergewöhnlich ! Die neuen Funktionen sind sehr gut und fehlen mir auf dem MAC , wird Zeit das das Ding auf OS läuft. Wie alle AudioKit Synth , ein Must have fürs iPad.
Another bad plugin
The plugin doesn’t work with my daw you guys keep making bad plugin just make a plugin that works with any daw can’t play sound when I add it to my daw but when it by itself it plays y’all just make plugins without thinking because y’all want money once y’all fix it I’ll give it 5 stars but for now y’all ain’t getting none

Sounds amazing!!!
I have to admit that I didn’t like it at first - same old boring patches drenched in chorus, delay and reverb. But thankfully I dug deeper and what’s under the hood is truly special. The first thing is that the patches don’t fall apart when you remove the fx - they still sound full of character. This synth captures the spirit of working in the analog domain and sounds like an actual instrument full of surprises and quirks and possibilities. Does it sound exactly like a prophet 5? I don’t really care as long as it sounds alive and this synth definitely delivers when you dive deep. Some of the banks further down on the list really start to show what’s possible. And finally the added design touches really make it shine — poly unison, retro and modern filters, high pass filter, arp (but please add swing), additional LFOs and mod matrix, vintage knob, saturation, overdrive and recently micro tuning!!

This is a recreation of the classic Sequential Circuits’ Prophet 5, but the AudioKit team has breathed so much love into this app that, in many ways, it far exceeds the original while still preserving the essential character.
Normally, when exploring a new app, I’ll start making patches, seeing how far I can push the synth engine. I usually make 10. With the A5, I made 20 in one sitting, and each was something I immediately wanted to use.
The modulation capabilities are vast. In addition to 3 LFOs, OSC 2 can be used as a 4th LFO, or as an Audio Frequency modulation source for FM, opening a whole new set of sounds.
As with many AudioKit apps, the UI is easy to navigate, and packed with an abundance of features. Need an arpeggiator? Done. A sequencer? It’s there. Need to play a Gamelan scale? A whole microtonal scale system is built in. The audio effects are simple, but sound amazing.
AudioKit continues to update capabilities, improve performance, and fix bugs quickly when they show up. Also, buying their apps supports their important mission of providing free professional tools to anyone who wants to learn synthesis, or make music.

Uninspiring
I really don’t like the layout of the UI in the synth apps from this developer. There are too many pages and the controls are spread out across them seemingly without any logic, not neatly grouped by their function. Tons of wasted space in the UI, the controls could’ve easily been condensed into one, maybe two pages.
The app sounds very very loosely inspired by that famous synth from Sequential - unfortunately it sounds anything like it. There is a level of „genericness” to all the sounds in the synth, I’ve tried several app from this developer and they all have this common characteristic and actually don’t sound that different from one another. If you already have one synth apps from this developer, you are likely ok to just skip this app.

What can I say? Think of it as a 21st-century Prophet 5, on steroids. Because it’s truly a prophet 10, on steroids. One of the best analog synths out there. AND You can play it on your iPad.. I’m using mine live with AUM On a 9th gen iPad with NO problems. 👍👍👍
