Don’t Buy This gimbal!
The app does not work on IPhone 8 Plus.
Disappointed
It does not work as stated. What a disappointment. Just as started about. It just doesn’t do as promised.
Lacking attention to detail and functions
No updates to the app is telling. The company has several models, each with their own apps that don’t work with each other, and each has different functionality and interface with the phones. What you can do with one app, you can’t with another, even though the gimbals work the same.
This app, designed for their “top end” Mobile Pro model has minimal functionality.
Doesn’t do “auto-panoramic” as advertised.
Can’t access camera modes on the iPhone (portrait, square, panoramic, time-lapse, or slow-motion).
Cannot stream from within the app. You have to record video, then upload to social media.
Follow function does work when paired with the phone. But, since you can’t do live streaming, you’re left to edit and upload later.

Access to camera function (available in other editions of the app).
Ability to livestream to social media platforms (at least one at a time).

Smove pro mobile app review
The app works well for what it does. I gave three stars because 1) some previous functions have been taken away from the app, 2) the company is not quick enough in providing functionality to suit new phones that have since come out, 3) it is not clear which app is needed for which smove gimbal and 4) there are no clear instructions for how to use the app or what functions the app can do.
1) The App for Smove Mobile (the gimbal with the extension arm) seems to allow you to program follow paths for timelapse photos. Also this old app let you set motor movement speed, again for timelapse, but that functionality seems to have been taken away.
2) the get started notes for the Smove pro mobile only mention using up to iPhone 7. iPhone X has since come out. These phones can shoot in 4K, but the app does not yet support that.
3) it is not clear which app you need for which gimbal. A better naming system is needed and clear instructions which app is needed for which gimbal
4) there are no instructions for what functions the app, and therefore gimbal can do or how to do them. I had a horrific vibration problem on number 2 motor, I wanted to calibrate the gimbal but couldn’t find instructions. Also web page for gimbal says we can do automated panoramas, but no description as to how.

App is crap
The SMOVE app has all the features, but won’t connect to Bluetooth. The SMOVE PRO app connects, but basically has no features. Object and person tracking does not work.
No up to par
This app fails to pick up the stabilizer via bluetooth 2 out of 3 times.
The Gimble video and photo buttons which are supposed to let you take photos and videos without touching the iphone screen do not work 2 out of 3 times when connected.
You literally need to delete the app, reset your phone, and redownload the app each time you need to use the gimble.
Finally, the app does not allow you to shoot 4k videos (ie if you have an iphone x).
Basically, you’re going to end up with a $250 smoove pro that can only serve as paper weight.
As it stands, this app is useless.
I will update my review if and when a new version of this app comes out.
