About

It's probably rain. Here's how sure we are. Most weather apps hand you a number and walk away. This one hands you the number and then tells you how much of it to believe — because a forecast without its error bar is just a confident guess. HOW SURE IS THIS Google DeepMind's WeatherNext 2 doesn't run once. It runs 64 times, from slightly different starting conditions. Where those 64 runs land on top of each other, the atmosphere is behaving predictably. Where they fan apart, it isn't. Probably Rain draws that fan. You see at a glance whether tomorrow is settled or whether the models are quietly arguing, and every temperature carries an honest tolerance instead of false precision. When Google's model and ours genuinely disagree, the app says so — and explains why, instead of picking one and hoping. THE FORECAST, PROPERLY DRAWN - The next 48 hours as one readable band: temperature on a blue-to-red spectrum, rain where height is probability, night shaded, sunrise and sunset marked. - How today compares to the historical normal for this date, from ten years of records for your exact spot. - The whole week as a grid — 168 hours, one cell each — so "when's the good weather?" takes one glance instead of seven taps. - Sparklines for temperature, feels-like, rain, wind, UV, humidity and pressure. - Rain radar, an air quality map and active wildfires, on one map you can pinch and pan. - Heads-up alerts roughly twenty minutes before rain arrives or the wind gets up. WORTH DOING Eighteen activities scored against the actual conditions — the run, the ride, the beach, the barbecue, the stargazing. It tells you when to go, and when not to bother. THE PLANET SHOWING OFF The hottest and coldest inhabited places on Earth, live, right now. Tonight's moon drawn with its real terminator. And weather records that sound invented and aren't: 26 metres of rain in a single year, a temperature that fell 56 degrees in a day, hailstones the weight of a melon. Every one is sourced to the WMO, NOAA or Guinness World Records. If we couldn't source it, we didn't include it. HONEST ABOUT ITSELF No account. No sign-up. No advertising. No analytics. No tracking. The app runs no server of its own, and your saved places never leave your phone. Weather data by Open-Meteo, including forecast confidence from Google DeepMind's WeatherNext 2. Radar by LibreWXR. Wildfire data from the US National Interagency Fire Center. Probably Rain is not a substitute for official warnings from your national weather service.
