"Procedure Manuals Are Novels" delivers one IT-industry maxim per day, dressed in the visual style of an ancient scroll: ink calligraphy, vermillion characters, gold-leaf accents.
Maxim No. 1: "Procedure manuals are works of fiction." It is followed by one hundred and sixty-five more — including "The courage to simply say 'I don't know,'" "Eighty percent of work is absurdity and routine," and "Estimates are fantasy; invoices are reality" — 166 truths drawn from the absurdity, humor, and stubborn wisdom of life on the IT frontline.
