Awesome

I like it

Missing so many features

How is there no chromakey function? Why can’t I record a brush stroke? I bought this app when it was released and immediately found no use for it. Years later and that remains the same case. I would rather animate in Procreate and do everything else in a different app.

I hope the ratings rise.

It took a while, but your team is doing so well and procreate dreams, despite the honestly grating two years, is REALLY coming into its own now. I always love the procreate team and those two years plus all these new updates have been so worth the wait. I love you procreate team, youre the only brand ill ever rep because youre all truly goated and i adore your stance on artists and the apps you build for us to express ourselves. Love yall 🌸🌸

Dreams is a gift!

This app is the best in the world it relies on skill and creativity. People who complain are crazy. Low price, Disney study on my iPad. Complainers just want cheats

Keep glitching out and but be nice if was easier to use for beginner animators

I got this app on lunch day and it’s a lot to take it vs procreate drawing on , as well i try opening it a few days ago and it started glitching out and went let me end . :( this needs work just as well as the procreate itself dose kind sad something I a lot is being wise to use by the years :( hope you fix both apps

How is it? 🤨

The application is good, but I lost the layers somewhere!

Almost there…

Editing my old review to say this app is so much better now! Add a quick shape tool and I would bump my review up to five stars.

Shape tool/ruler when??

Procreate Dreams is genuinely amazing and is significantly better for animation than Procreate(since this app is made for animation and all). But the only downside that I have with the app is that it has no shape tool/ruler tool or liquify, which are two very important tools when it comes to making slight adjustments to your animation and making straight lines for your background, middle ground, or foreground. I would also love to be able to see how long I’ve spent on a project so I can have a moment to acknowledge that I spent “9000+” hours on a nonfinished project. The overall app in my opinion is great and isn’t laggy at least for me, I just desperately need the shape tool/ruler, I hope to see a shape/ruler tool and/or liquify tool in any next update.

Response from developer

Hi Hairclipz_Yas – Thanks so much for the great review, and for all your feedback 🤗 We are currently working hard to develop QuickShape and Liquify for the new Procreate Dreams engine (which is why we cannot directly copy the tools from the older Procreate engine), and we hope to make these available for you as soon as we can. We have added your upvote for the Ruler tool request; in case you are referring to Drawing Guides, these are planned for a future version of Procreate Dreams. The idea of recording the statistics of a project is also requested, and we have included your vote. We will keep working hard to improve all the Procreate apps further! - If you ever have queries or suggestions about our apps, feel free to message us anytime via the Support Form at procre.at/support - it is our official contact channel, we are always happy to help!

Don’t Waste Your Money

i LOVE procreate but even the basic options on dreams suck. if you try to upload or drag your art directly from procreate it’s hit or miss. 90% of the time it will absolutely destroy your quality or won’t even let you resize, it’s too complex for a base level animation app, and probably will not work for anything other than drawing a bouncing ball

I love it but there are some problems

I like the app but one it’s really laggy and when I tried to close it and reopen it still laggy but it’s kind of hard to use like I spent two days trying to figure it out still can’t so maybe try making the interface more simple cause my first impression was that it would be complicated or maybe it’s a skill issue but I like it it’s way smoothed than flipaclip so that’s nice so that’s my thought

Love but

I really want to make cute animations but one problem… idk how to use this so it would be cool if it had a little built in tutorial bc some people download this, but they probably don’t know how to even use it yet so this would be really helpful for me and other people please and thank you

The trusted creative app on both animation and drawing

It’s been years now and I’m happy to say I love this app and the drawing app above Procreate and Procreate Dreams it does have some glitchy sides but that’s okay it will get fixed anyways other learn about more about this app and they policy specially being anti AI drawing 2-D animation app use this app and fingers crossed if they come out with 3-D animations knowing myself I will try to save up some money to buy the next app I’ll write a next one of a review in the future

Good, but..

I wish it had more tools like procreate, and where you can make your own custom brushes.Really good btw!

Great tool!

I was very excited when Procreate Dreams was released. As a traveling designer who sometimes animates for work, it is tough to carry a Cintiq for TVPaint. The UI is easy to understand, and the brushes are naturally great, as a Procreate user.

The only drawback for me, using a relatively old iPad, is the glitching. On animations longer than 7-10 seconds, the app stops registering the Apple Pencil every few frames, though this may be due to my older device. Also I rely heavily on keyboard shortcuts, and the lack of a way to bookmark and quickly jump around the timeline makes working on longer animations quite tedious. Overall, it is a great tool with room to grow!

not worth the money at all

i cant refund it for whatever reason. they take insanely long to implement simple tools like the lasso tool. i cant have the timeline and drawing on the screen at the same time which is extremely essential for so many people, myself included. use toonsquid instead, cheaper, more efficient, more simple. i had such high hopes for this because procreate is absolutely amazing. disappointing.

Really amazing just one very small issue

I love this app! I enjoy being able to adjust the fps along with using some of the recommended ones. The variety of brushes makes it so nice! I know a shapes tool is in the works so I’m excited for the release of that! One very small issue though. I really like the brush cursor setting on the original procreate. It isn’t that big of a difference for my drawings, but it’s something I’m used to using and find helpful for nearly no reason. But in procreate dreams the brush cursor setting doesn’t work at all. I don’t see or notice the little circle the represents the brush. Ignoring that, I think this is such a great app to practice or make animations on!
(Sorry such a long review)

Response from developer

Hey there - thanks for leaving us a 5-star review! We are grateful for your support and happy to hear you are enjoying using Procreate Dreams! Yes, our team is working on the QuickShape feature and we will try to release it as soon as we can. I also recommend taking a look at this section from our Handbook (https://procre.at/eaf) to learn more about adjusting Brush Cursor in Procreate Dreams! 😃

Worst thing ever with potential

Way too complicated, it’s so easy to just make the controls simple and add all the complex buttons on like “advanced settings” or instead of just making everything a weird gesture, and unexplained, show us, and make it easier to see and do. Amazing animation app, horrible controls and UI.

Procreate Nightmares

iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation)
iOS 17 (I’m not upgrading since it’ll cook my iPad)

I love procreate but dreams is not as good. It over heats my ipad if I use it for more than 2-3hrs. There’s a ton of bugs with the touch features. Undo, pinch to zoom, brush skipping if my palm hits the screen right. I just wish they flushed out the flip book feature in the original procreate instead of making a completely new app with features no one really uses.

Also you can’t merge tracks in flip book but can only see 3 of them at a time. It gets hard to navigate for clean up.

Pretty good app /ᐠ •ヮ• マ Ⳋ

This app is a little bit complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it, this is actually a pretty good app, especially if you want more premium Ish animation experience. Although it is lacking some features like 3D animation, and although it has anti-aliasing, it is very complicated and hard to turn on and use. And also another problem that I have is that if you scale move or make an object that has anti aliasing on, it turns of and is more pixelated again. It is also kind of laggy sometimes and can crash a lot. Also, things could be a little bit smoother, especially with the brushes, which aren’t that smooth at times. Hope you guys can fix this!

Different camera movements

I just started using procreate dreams, and I find the camera movements very limited. I wish there was a way to control the camera not just the paintings themselves. Something similar to toon squid would be nice.
