almost perfect
good, but could be better
Response from developer
Hello. Regarding support for the cable, productionTimer supports any external display recognized by iOS. If you have an adapter you can use to see the iPad on a TV, it will work as an extended display with productionTimer. As for the settings saving, this will debut in a future update.
Presets
Almost perfect
The only thing I'd add would be 3 or 4 preset buttons, so the transitions between speakers, particularly if they have different time allocations, would be seamless. Adjusting times can be tricky when the graphic switcher operator is running the timer too.
Response from developer
While we don’t currently support presets, you can use the following method to prepare for the next presenter: 1. “CHANGE” the time to that of your first presenter. 2. “SET” that time to the clock 3. “START” the clock 4. While the clock is running “CHANGE” the time to the next presenter. 5. When you want to start the next presenter, tap “SET”
Great app
Great app, could use + or - min. Would be cool if you could put a logo under the timer, and or background of timer.
Missing 2 features
iPhone control. I'd like to be able to sync my phone with the timer and send messages so the iPad is the display only.
Very nice app, would appreciate a few more features.
A few improvements to be made, but overall: very nice.
Public Comment Timekeeper
Easy to operate.
The Time-Travel feature makes speeding the clock up much easier. The program asks you exactly what time you want the clock to hit “0” and it does the math for you. No guessing what multiple you need to speed the clock up to end on time.
We use this app to output the clock to our switching systems to send downstage as well as into all the multi viewers using a Grass Valley ADVC-G1 to do the conversion to HD-SDI.
