Awful
Terrible, there’s nothing you can do without paying 2.99 a month. An app like this not having a free option is unbelievable greed. No one is paying for this.
payment required - Useless app
You cannot do anything on this app without paying. It had two or three demo words and then everything else is behind a pay wall. I saw an advert for this app which focused on the widget feature on the lock screen. This is not a free feature. The app requires a £2.99 subscription fee for any functionality, which is an awfully expensive considering that it is just a glorified dictionary and there are much cheaper/free options available.

Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it :)
Great Idea
Stumbled upon this app through an ad online, thought it was a fantastic idea and started to get into it, thought it could really help me push myself, and learn new things..
Although, after it lead me to believe it was free, a pop-up appeared with the subscription price which I won’t go forward with. Such a shame as it seems a fantastic concept.

Disappointed
Good idea but locking absolutely everything behind pay wall😔
Subscription
The app makes it seem like it’s free, I’m not paying for this, at least have a free option
Like the others say
“Free version” is not actually available. Even if you can’t X out of the paywall, the widget will only have an ad for the paid subscription instead of words.
Extremely aggressive paywalling
Pressing the “X” during the first-open-experience doesn’t get you to the app, it gives a discount advertisement.
Not even remotely worth a subscription.
Not even remotely worth a subscription.
It's paid app mascarading as free
2.99-4.99 a month. Hate when apple allows this
Why would I pay a monthly subscription for this?!
Cute idea, really liked the look of it. But a monthly subscription for the definition of a word on my Lock Screen? GURL.
Not worth a $7 monthly subscription!
Developer should consider whether $60 a year is a reasonable price for what is essentially a widget showing on your lockscreen.
Fully Paywalled
Word for word copy of the Vocabulary app, but the paywall is impassible. Not sure if that’s intended, but when I tried to X out of the paywall it only threw up a deal repeatedly. Just get Vocabulary
Response from developer
Hi! Sorry to hear about your experience. We allow users to close the paywall to experience the free version of the app with thousands of words. We'll look into it🕵
Free version
Seems too good to be true. I’ve been using just the free version for an hour now and there are no ads, easy format and great words
Requires a subscription to do anything on the app
The app opens with a onboarding process, but before it even teaches you a word you have to sign up for the subscription. I’d understand if the subscription gave access to more advance features, like maybe without it you only get one word a day, but to have the whole app completely paywalled is ridiculous.

Hello! If you click the "X" in the top left of the paywall it will take you to the main app experience where you can learn 30 words a day completely free. You can also use the lockscreen widget this way. Happy learning!!
