Love it on the PC but app is very lacking

We have grown from 5 employees to close to 30 employees really quickly. Our software has had to grow as well. I feel this was a half step up from our prior software we built ourselves. This is very similar to Monday and Trello except it’s already sat up for project management. Good layout and functionality until you get to the app. It can serve as a means to enter your time but it is not easy to use. 4 of us on tablets hate it. It comes up with a phone size box and I can’t even click on the icon to use my password manager. I’m going to try the web browser. I use Monday and tried to talk them into letting one of the 15 engineers set it up like this. What good is an online resource if I have to pull out my laptop to do anything. It’s so sloppy, I am tempted to use my influence of being a senior employee to really push for it being a mistake. There are a hundred templates for building an app to make a browser interface that is open source or cheap. Had I been the one to demo this, we would have picked something else.

Not IPad friendly

App works ok on a phone But needs to be optimized for an iPad like leaving this review from the iPad I can’t add punctuation for example

Where is the Ipad version

I always use my Ipad for work. When will you develop the Ipad version? I work in landscape orientation. Please get your team on this please.

I know I can use it in Safari, but I like apps better.

Response from developer

Hi Spyhook! We've optimised the website for iPad screens rather than create a dedicated iPad app. Give that a shot in Safari and if you have any issues please let us know via support@projectmanager.com

Simple but useful

Helpful for on the go status updates for projects.

Don't use if you rely on your phone

The app is very basic. You'll get a few lists but that's it. The website version is hard to use on the phone as well. Desktop isn't bad and does what it needs to do. App is basic and looks rushed. Past reviews say it's improving shortly. That was 8 months ago

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. Take a look at the latest version (1.2 or higher), there's a brand new design which is easier to use. Also keep an eye out for the next couple of releases, these focus on higher-level project creation and management, which may cover the more advanced features you're looking for.

Online version is good, app is useless

The app is awful. We started testing out the desktop web version and thought we finally found a program that would work for us. Unfortunately, you can’t view the calendar or any scheduling, dashboards, etc on the app. It’s very limited and not useful in the field.

Response from developer

Hi there, sorry to hear that our app isn't working well for you. The app focusses on finding and updating your tasks, higher-level dashboards and reporting is something which is exclusive to the web-app for now. The best way to view your project calendar on mobile is to sync it with our preferred calendar app: https://learn.projectmanager.com/project-calendar If you have any questions or suggestions please reach out to us via support@projectmanager.com

Good Program, Weak App

This is a temporary (I hope) 3-Star rating. The app does a good job of only seeing what you need to see. That said, there are a couple of critical things that need to be added:
- Calendar view to see what is upcoming
- Sort tasks by due date vs alphabetical

The main program needs a way to cleanly print calendar views. The Gannt print is the best I’ve seen yet!

The bones are very good, it is very usable as-is, looking forward to where the dev team takes it.
