PromiSpot: Gambling Addiction

PromiSpot lets the one person you choose know only when you stay 5 minutes or more at a place you promised not to go back to. Your everyday location is never shared. You promised: "I'm not going back there." But sharing your location all day feels heavy, and constant checking hurts the one who cares, too. PromiSpot is the middle ground. ■ Places people use it for A casino, a betting shop, a racetrack, a slot or pachinko parlor, a card room. Pick any spot on the map, so it also works for a bar you want to avoid, or any place you agreed on together. ■ For you When you enter a spot, only your phone shows a notice first: "In 5 minutes a notification will reach your watcher. If you leave now, nothing is sent." Turn around, and nothing is sent. ■ For your partner Most days nothing arrives, and they cannot see where you are. They are told only after 5 minutes at a spot, or if watching stops. Messages never say "they were there", because location can be wrong. ■ Two people, with consent - In the app the roles are "Watched person" and "Watcher". The watched person installs the app, reads what will be shared, and creates a 6-digit pairing code. - Spots added by the watcher start only after the watched person approves. Deleting a spot by the watched person needs the watcher's approval. Position and size cannot be changed later. - Either person can unpair at any time, and the other is told. Past records stay readable for both for up to 90 days, then are deleted. ■ What your partner sees - Registered spots and their names - Entering, staying and leaving a spot, with times - A yes/no record every minute: inside a spot or not, location settings on or off - When watching stopped or resumed, battery level, device model Never: your current location, your routes, or where you are outside the spots. ■ Location and data - Inside or outside is checked on your phone. Your coordinates are never sent to our servers. - Spot names and positions are encrypted on the phones before saving. We don't keep the key or read them. - Records are deleted 90 days after they are made. No ads, no analytics SDK. - "Always" location access keeps checking while the app is closed. - Location is never perfect. Indoors, a spot may react to the building next door, or react late. In Low Power Mode, watching may be delayed. ■ FAQ Q. How do I register a casino or racetrack? A. Move the map so the center pin sits on the place (no search by name). It watches a circle of about 100 m. Q. Will walking past send a notification? A. No. Only staying 5 minutes or more does. Q. Can I set it up for a family member? A. Only they can install it and create the code. It is not meant to be used without their knowledge. Q. What should I say when a notification comes? A. Try "Are you okay?" before any conclusion. Location can be wrong. Q. Can it block gambling apps or online casinos? A. PromiSpot is about places. For apps and sites, try our sister app "NO MORE BETS". ■ Pricing Free: 1 spot and today's records. Premium (monthly or yearly, 1-week free trial): unlimited spots and 30 days of records. If one subscribes, both can use it. Renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, in App Store settings. When Premium ends, only your first spot stays watched. ■ Important PromiSpot is not a medical service or treatment. If you keep struggling, feel trapped by debt, or have thoughts of not wanting to be here, please don't carry it alone. Reach out to a gambling helpline, a doctor, local health services or a peer support group. Families can find support, too. ■ Also from KAIJU - NO MORE BETS: blocks gambling apps and sites, with a family member watching over - notally: a recovery app that doesn't count days.
