About

Prosvetum turns landmark books into summaries you can actually finish — and remember. Every summary is written from the original text, not from other summaries. Five to nine key ideas, each with a one-line core, explained in plain language with the author's own examples. Seven minutes, not seven hours. WHAT'S INSIDE Public-domain classics, in English and Russian: Adam Smith on why prices settle where they do, Machiavelli on power as it is rather than as it should be, Marcus Aurelius, Thoreau, Sun Tzu, Austen, Le Bon, Franklin, Taylor, and more. Business, finance, psychology, philosophy, productivity, and fiction that earns its place. REMEMBER IT, DON'T JUST READ IT Each summary ends with flashcards and a short quiz. Cards you get wrong come back sooner; cards you know come back later. That is the whole trick, and it is why an idea from a book you read last month is still there this month. AN AI THAT KNOWS THE CATALOG Describe what you are working on and get specific books back, with a reason for each — not a generic bestseller list. Ask the mentor about a summary and it answers from that book, or tells you the book does not cover it. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY Adjustable type, three reading themes, scroll or page mode, and your place kept per book. Summaries stay readable offline. The interface is English by default and switches to Russian in Settings. Prosvetum is free to use. No ads. No feed. No streak guilt.
