Not pleased with ProtectMyID vpn
My VPN does not work and I have reached out to support to help me fix it. They have failed to get in touch me. Very poor customer service
Doesn’t work
This app is next to impossible to sign in with using an existing account. Basically it just runs you around in circles. Trash.
It’s 1981 Again
This freebie VPN from ProtectMyID is the single most bug laden piece of software I’ve used in the last 40 years, and I beta and alpha tested quite a lot of stuff back in the day. If you don’t use it constantly it will, without warning, cease to function. It will crash and burn several times on start up before it will connect to its network. Once it’s connected it’s stable, but every time you need to reconnect, it’s a PITA. Uninstalling it is not made simple. It’s a treasure hunt through the guts of your computer’s OS Library. If you want VPN, look elsewhere, like Okta.

Don’t waste your time or money
My AAA Experian came with this VPN. I’m running IOS 26 on my iPhone. It will not install and activate completely. I’ve tried several times deleting the app and reinstalling it. If you’re considering AAA Experian top-tier to get the VPN, don’t waste your time or money

Impossible to log in
Once app downloaded, it provides instructions to copy/paste the code on screen.
But, instructions don’t match any screens and any fields to paste this code. Hence making this app inaccessible and useless.
Plus, no support email address provided
Shame AAA is using this company for credit monitoring…
When companies don’t post an email for Support, it is same as stating: “Don’t contact us!”

For whatever reason this fn app decides not to work in some locations. even when you delete it and re-upload it AND when you waste time with their inept cust svc "reps" who don't know what the ___ is going on - REALLY want ALL my $$$ back from ALL the MONTHS i didn't have the service bc it STINKS :(
