Great protein tracker overall

Really like how accurate the photo scan is. I also use voice logging sometimes, especially on the go. This is one of the very few apps that helps me choose protein-rich options when I’m eating out. Overall, it feels like a very human centred app.

Several features are always available for free and can be used without a subscription. Some premium features are paid, and we always show the price clearly before you start a trial or confirm any purchase through Apple. There are no hidden charges. Highly recommended!

I used to do sports professionally, now I just train for myself — and got tired of apps with a ton of unnecessary numbers. Here everything is simple: one number — protein per day. Photo your meal — AI counts the grams itself, or you can just use voice. Lock screen widget, Apple Health sync, no registration. Convenient with no extra hassle. Recommend it!

Strongly recommend

A very useful app, especially when you’re tracking your protein intake. Health requires a comprehensive approach, but nutrition is its foundation. The older you get, the more important it becomes to strengthen that foundation. And when you need to get a substantial amount of protein into your diet, Protein Buddy is invaluable.

Great tracker

I've tried a lot of nutrition apps, and this is one of the few that actually makes protein tracking fast instead of feeling like a chore. The AI food scan is surprisingly accurate for everyday meals, and I love that I can also log food by voice, barcode, or manually depending on the situation. The interface is clean, responsive, and doesn't overwhelm you with unnecessary features.

What really stands out is the focus on protein instead of forcing you to obsess over every single calorie. It's perfect if you're trying to build muscle, lose weight while preserving muscle, or simply make sure you're hitting your daily protein target. Apple Health integration is a nice bonus, and the app feels thoughtfully designed from start to finish.

Looking forward to future updates, but it's already become part of my daily routine. Highly recommended!
