About

Hitting a daily protein target usually means logging every calorie and every macro first. ProteinSnap skips all of that and tracks one number: protein. Photograph your plate, check the estimate, and the meal is logged with its photo. Or search the food list and set the portion in a couple of taps. SNAP YOUR MEAL — Point the camera at your food and get an AI protein estimate in seconds — Handy for a mixed plate or someone else's cooking, when you don't know what to search for — Use a photo from your library, and it logs to the day it was taken — Fix portions before you log, remove what isn't there, or add a food the photo missed LOG BY HAND — A wide range of protein foods with USDA values: poultry, pork, red meat, fish, seafood, eggs & dairy, legumes & soy, and plant protein — Add a custom entry with the grams from a label — Log again repeats any past meal in one tap YOUR MEALS, WITH PHOTOS — Snapped meals keep their photo, and the Feed tab turns them into a private journal, newest first — Milestones show up in the Feed as you earn them, from streaks to your lifetime protein total — Share a card of any photo meal with the plate and the grams on it YOUR DAILY GOAL — A short setup builds your protein intake target from your weight (kg or lb), age group, and how hard you train — It follows published ISSN sports-nutrition guidance, and you can change it any time SEE IF IT'S WORKING — A ring on Today shows the grams you have left, and streak milestones light up on it — Tap a day in the week strip to look back at what you ate — Trends has a monthly calendar, a weekly chart, your streak and your daily average. Tap any day to open its meals — Miss a day and you will see it, which is most of the point PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your logs and meal photos stay on the device. There is no account to create. Photo Snap sends the photo to our own server for the estimate and keeps no copy of it. FREE TO START Log by hand every day and try Photo Snap, free. The Feed, Trends, sharing, your profile and your goal stay free. ProteinSnap Pro removes the daily cap, makes Photo Snap unlimited, adds Favorites, and lets you fix portions in logged meals and fill in past days. ProteinSnap Pro — plans — Weekly, with a free trial — Yearly, with a free trial — Lifetime: a one-time purchase, not a subscription Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings after purchase. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://apps.tmkm.dev/proteinsnap/privacy Photo Snap gives an estimate, not a measurement, so check the numbers yourself if you need clinical accuracy. Goal guidance is based on sports-nutrition research and is not medical advice. A simple protein tracker for anyone lifting, cutting, or eating high protein without tracking their whole diet.

What's New in ProteinSnap

2.6.0

October 1, 2026

Fixed a bug where tapping the small handle at the top of a pop-up panel, such as “Add item” or “Custom entry”, could freeze the screen. Panels now have a close button in the corner, and tapping outside a panel still closes it. Photo Snap is more accurate. A dish is counted once instead of again as its parts, drinks without protein are left out, and photos of menus and labels are no longer read as food. Identical pieces on one plate now show as a single row, and on a slow connection Snap waits longer for the result.
