Simply brilliant!

Forget the rest, I’ve tried them. If you want an app that’s versatile enough to cope with many different scoring formats incl. the LTA’s Fast 4 format with its no ad format, then this is the app for you. It doesn’t use a subscription model like many of the new apps coming out, so while the initial outlay seems pricey, it’s better value than the others. Yes it takes a little practice to use but you can do that watching matches on YouTube. If you make a mistake there is an option to undo, and also options for missed points and games. You can even switch server ends which is something juniors get frequently wrong after a tiebreak. The interface in this app looks a little dated and the menu system is bespoke, but there simply is no better app in my opinion. We’ve learnt loads about my player from their matches , not to mention their opponents! Can’t recommend highly enough. P.s. Recent update is great - thanks for keeping developing this.

Tried a lot of apps

Hi,

Is there a way to get a subscription which is cheaper for a month to try out? I have twins who play a lot and keen on trying out this app as other apps in the market don't track the shots. The demo didn't complete the match and took a while to get the details on. Would be great to get a complimentary month and share the help on Instagram as well!

Simple to use with powerful features

Really easy to use and learn but powerful enough to grow with as you get better keeping stats.

This app is exactly what I've been looking for.

I wanted to find a good tennis stats app and this was by far the most impressive. It is very easy to use, and best of all the kids seem to really buy in to it. It makes it very easy to coach them when they have seen their own stats TV-style. I especially like the serving scatter diagrams as this is such an important area to the game. Overall, a great app, it is more expensive than others but is definitely worth the money.

Excellent tennis tracking app

Great for tracking tennis matches and reviewing statistics later. This like ball placement, double faults and unforced errors, backhand vs. forehand winners can all be tracked. I have tried all of the tennis tracking apps and for me this one is so far the best. The pricing model (pay as you use), is not even that painful.

Fantastic match-tracking app

I really like this app a lot. It's much more comprehensive than other match-tracking apps and surprisingly easy to use once you've practiced it once (See Last note). I video my match from the back fence, then input the data point-by-point into this program. The stats it produces tell you SO much about your game. I also like the purchasing flexibility they've setup. I'm not ready to throw down the $50 for the app, but I like buying match credits as I go. I usually hate free apps because most of them have ads, but this one's not like that.

A few features I would like added are: 1. A stat that tracks which serves you won/lost the point on (other than the obvious ace). 2. The option to track every shot in the point (not just the rally number). This would help me to know how many total forehands, backhands, etc. 3. The ability to go back through the match. 4. Email match files to other iPad/iPhone devices, not just the PC version.

Last note: If your tracking a live match, they give you the ability to turn off return tracking and final shot tracking. I guarantee that you're not fast enough to track all these things live. But with these turned off, tracking a live match is very doable, but you must practice at least a few games first.

Thank you for the positive words on the app. Tracking every shot in a rally would be very difficult to do in practice – you would never be able to keep up with a match. The software records Serves, Returns (optional) and the Key deciding shot of each point. This is sufficient to produce a great deal of information on a match, including: full stats, scatter diagrams, momentum chart and replay. Matches can be e-mailed to other iPhones and iPads, as well as the PC version.

The free version lets you track 3 games so that you can evaluate the app. You then have the option to use match-credits with in-app purchase, or buy the outright version of the app - the features in both are the same.

Almost perfect

Really good software and detailed stats. I am a little disappointed that my clients have to install the app to view the stats that I email to them. Other tracker apps don't require this

Thank you for the positive words on the app. ProTracker Tennis provides a lot more information than stats, including scatter diagrams and momentum chart, so the app is needed to fully analyze a match - it is possible to produce reports in pdf format using the PC version or with a MAC, see: http://www.protrackertennis.com/protrackertennis/producing_match_reports.pdf

Too difficult

Nice concept but too difficult to use for real time stats capturing. Also too complicated. Would be good with a bit of refining.

Crashes - deleting it

The app crashes while in stages of setting up the match so I can't even start tracking stats. Tried restarting my iPhone but that doesn't help. Won't be buying the full version since I can't even tell what the lite version does. (I have iOS4)
