Need to pay for premium on a SUBSCRIPTION to get ad block. Waste of time
5* if autoplay could be disabled
fantastic app, works very smoothly for me. only gripe is that there's no option to disable autoplay, then it would be 5*. appreciate that there is a sleep timer but you have to be on the front page of the app to turn it on so it's not accessible when watching a video and it counts down rather than just ending video playback if you haven't touched the app in a set amount of time so I always wake up with a video still playing. I also seem to be unable to play videos with a content warning pop up that ask if I'm OK to continue (the video screen goes blank and doesn't play).

Ruined the whole point of the app
You now need to pay for protube premium when being a free version of yt premium. Completely ruins the whole point. Might as well just pay for premium because this app is worse than the original yt app too
This app is a true godsend!
I found that i could no longer play YouTube to fall asleep or to do housework, because I’d be woken up or interrupted with a blaring ad that needed to be physically skipped instead of just going back to the video on its own. With this app that is no worry, plus you can even exit out of the app and close your phone screen and it’ll continue playing! I REALLY appreciate that they have a donation subscription model essentially, which i did subscribe to, because a service for $1 a month is a heck of a lot better than $20/month and I can afford the $1 to show my appreciation. I hope they keep it totally free for others if we donate where we can. This is a totally awesome app and I recommended it to sooo many people.

Update
You update the app, now it's asking to pay for what it's advertised to do. You can't listen to music with the app closed, or if you swipe out. The update objectively made the app worse.
Rug pulling features
What used to be a simple intermediary between the user and YouTube, to remove the ungodly amount of ads, has now turned into a money grab of feature reduction and paywalls. Another developer down the pipes

No USP, no point!
The app always had glitches and was very buggy but you ignored it because it was ad-free. Now you have to pay to remove ads. Literally no point of this app anymore and I enjoyed using the normal YouTube app again without the annoying glitches. Uninstalled.
Asks for subscription now
Worked so great and I recommended it to so many people until they started asking people to use a subscription to use what the app was made for in the first place. If you need a subscription to be ad free, then there is genuinely no point to using this app anymore instead of regular YouTube.

This app has a few issues that bother me but they're genuinely almost ignorable due to the sheer convenience this app has over the normal YouTube. I can't recommend it enough

The whole point of the app is to avoid watching long ads, so why am I getting a notification saying watch ad free… I’m going back to youtube

Awesome that it cuts out the ads but way too many glitches way too often…
Love it just some issues
It does what it says, it’s AD FREE!!! But there’s a few issues, like when I pause a video for too long if I use another app and then I go back to ProTube the video either doesn’t play sound or in a different time slot in the video. Or when I’m on the home page and I search something and after I search it, I’ll click on my subscriptions and then when I go back to the home, My search isn’t there no more but besides that, it’s better than YouTube
