So far so good!
So far, this app is doing what I need it to do: get me on the air with PSK31. I use a small speaker next to my iPad to receive the signals, and use a hand mic and VOX for transmitting. Only issue I have isn’t really with the app itself: I also log on my iPad, so I can’t have my log open AND use the app. I guess I need to hand log during PSK31 and then transfer into my logging program later.

Works wonderfully. I made myself a small tnc with two transistors that uses the mic dc bias as power supply. Note that the audio comes out on one channel only.
Wasted $2.99
This app does not work since it does not show up on privacy or in the app list you will not be able to have it listen to any radio signal. Total waste of money.
Doesn’t receive
This app doesn’t work. Will send PSK but doesn’t receive. Waste of $3
Doesn’t work anymore
Looks like this app hasn’t been updated in awhile and that’s a real shame. It WAS the best PSK app for iPhone/iPad. Now, it just flat out doesn’t work on recent versions of iOS. I’ve had the app for years, but haven’t used it in awhile. Much to my disappointment, I opened it up today and it just doesn’t work. Just compared to the other PSK app, it appears this one needs to be updated to allow it to ask for permission to use the microphone (for audio input). This app doesn’t have a setting for it, the competing app (which frankly isn’t as good - but it works), does have that setting. Let’s hope the developer updates this app and I’ll be happy to give it a high rating. 73, KI4ASK

Help
Trying to use this app with Elecraft KX2 and it keeps crashing. Any updates coming in the near future?
Erratic behavior
Guys,
I use it with the Easy Digi By interface (KF5INZ) and the iPad behaves erratically. while listening Siri pops up, not to mention that the waterfall is so dark that communications are almost impossible to spot.
I tried the same set up with an Android phone and it works perfectly.
Please update it

PSKer failure
This App does not function, do NOT purchase. Should be removed from APP Store. I have written several request to the developer with NO Response. APP is 3 years old without any updates or bug fixes. Ham Radio Operator using identified Radios in YouTube and Reviews by others. BOGUS claims of functionality.

Audio tx issue with direct connect
This app has an audio TX issue with direct connect to certain interfaces. The RX works fine. I initially thought it was the interface but have confirmed other apps work just fine.
Hoping the author corrects this quickly as this is an important issue for many users.

Works fine good deal!
I just installed on my iPad and tried with my FT-817ND radio through an interface. No issues with connecting and I had a QSO right away. Nice add to my portable. The iPad is much easier to take with compared to a laptop that dies after a few hours of use! Great job and hope to see you programming again soon!

This is absolutely brilliant works really well, not tried it on TX yet but if it works as well on RX as I am confident it will, it's well worth the money even for the SWL'S, thanks well done

Works great with my FT817ND and KF5INZ interface.
Save Your Money!
iPhone 5 - latest OS. Worthless. Save your money.

Works very well with iPhone next to speaker even with weak trace on screen. Tip... Click as close as poss to trace then fine tune receiver to bring in line with marker Too much volume may cause a black screen.
Functional but frustrating- Needs some improvements
I have to admit that I am impressed with the decoding ability out of the box, even when acousticly coupled. I even made a contact right off the bat just by placing my radio's headset microphone next to the iPad speaker with radio in VOX so in that it works pretty well.
The ability to tune the waterfall by clicking on a signal and fine tuning makes it very accurate. Another app out there that I have tried makes you move the radio itself to get the signal in the proper place.
The author has a good online help page that describes most operations.
The app as built does fall short on several areas that if you are used to the PC or MAC implimentations of PSK31, you will go absoluty nuts trying to figure this app out.
First of all, all the PC/Mac implimentations allow for some copy/paste automation into call/name/QTH variables for Macros to allow easy return of the other stations information withoug having to enter it manuallly. At least allowing for pasting the recieved callsign into the available "QSO" box at the bottom of the screen would be helpful and that this QSO value would populate the variable in a macro automatically. Rather you must enter the callsign in the QSO field manually. Rough but it works.
Biggest annoyance is the inability to "Free type and transmit as you are typing. With a Bluetooth keyboard I can definately type faster than PSK31 can send. Unfortunately PSKer will only transmit after a "New Line" is intered, either from the \n Macro entry or when the On screen Keyboard "Send" button is pressed. The line transmits until the end of text and then the transmission ends. If I want to free type comments, I have to wait until a previous line ends, even with typing ahead, teh transmission stops and then hit send again. This on/off/on/off transmission patterned really confused the other station I was talking to. The software should have a TX/RX toggle switch and the ability to "Free Type" to make it a truly functional ragchew application.
From a technical standpoint ther is a slight issue that may make it a bit more diffacult for other stations to not miss the first few charactors of a transmission from PSKer. Most PSK31 applications have a short idle time, maybe .5 seconds at the onset to allow the RX stations decoder to lock on. There is also a short idle time at the end of a transmission that signifies the termination. Neither of these features are present here.
Again, I think this is a great effort and hopefully the author will make continued improvements.
