The big one: a real learn mode — plus a bonus round, a real ending and a certificate you can share. New: the learn mode The game has grown into a genuine way to learn. Every one of the 118 elements now carries what an exam actually asks for: electron configuration, valence electrons, electronegativity, oxidation states, group and period, block. Alongside it a key fact that makes the element click in a single paragraph, and an "In the exam" section naming the questions it usually shows up in — detection reactions, ligand field theory, corrosion, whatever it happens to be. And twelve colour views of the whole table: electronegativity, atomic radius, ionisation energy, electron affinity, melting point, density, oxidation states, metallic character, state of matter, block, radioactivity and year of discovery. Each with one sentence explaining the trend. Understand it first, then keep it through play. New: the bonus round Place all elements of the main table without a single mistake and the rock breaks open. Behind it lies a cave with the 28 lanthanides and actinides — the two rows that never fit into the table. New: the ending Complete all 118 and lightning strikes the centre of the grid. From there the light travels along the paths to every stone until the whole table glows. Then you get your certificate: a picture you can share, with a code that proves it is genuine. Nothing leaves your device unless you share it yourself. New: colour means rank Easy is teal, Normal is violet, N.E.R.D is gold. Finish all 118 and the particles around the menu stone keep that colour — for good. Also new • Placed elements now turn to stone, carved into the wall • Music and sound throughout: the game board, the cave, every effect • Credits for the musicians and sound artists • iPad and Mac, with layouts made for the larger screen Fixed • Grid alignment in the bonus round on iPad • Long translations no longer run off the menu stone on smaller iPhones • A crash when two fingers grabbed the same atom
