User reviews

Great Product but Needs Improvements

I really like this device—the design is excellent and more comfortable than competitors like Amazfit and Polar. The app is really smooth, with great animations, and the AI chat feature is a nice addition.

That said, a few improvements would make a big difference:
1. The app needs new features—like metabolic age, stress levels, muscle gain/loss tracking, also hydration monitoring. Also notifications on how your heart rate is doing, how long u slept, etc should pop out, instead of me opening the app to see.
2. Advertising—send devices to tech creators like CarterPcs, Tussalty, Matty Kay, and Parker Burton so more people see it and strive for honest reviews.
3. Price—at $250, you should aim to compete more with Amazfit, so a slightly lower price would help.
4. Social Media—post regularly to keep users engaged.
5. Customer Support—responses are too slow and often don’t come at all.
6. Shipping—orders take too long. (Side note the Band Width is not 24mm it’s 18 mm)
7. CEO Presence—River, the CEO, is on social media too much. Let real users and independent reviewers lead the conversation.

Even with these issues, I gave it 5 stars because I believe it has huge potential. If you guys focus on these areas, it could really become a leader in wearables.
I have plenty of more stuff to share on how to make this a better product so feel free to reach out. Thank you, don’t give up !

Want to use but…

Constantly frozen. Please do better because we want to use…

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. This issue has now been fixed. Please update the app and it should run smoothly again. If you still see anything unusual, let us know.

Needs alot of work

The app needs a bunch of work overall. Misses out on tracking a bunch of workouts. Doesn’t seem to track sleep properly, if laying on the couch for an hour to watch a movie it thinks you’re sleeping

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are actively improving both workout detection and sleep accuracy. Stillness while watching TV can sometimes look similar to sleep, and we are working on making that distinction much better. We appreciate you taking the time to help us improve the experience.

Great graphics and PR. Lousy performance

Started out great with a minimal of features. It's been several months since launch. App is buggy. Doesn't sync properly. Need to kill the app and launch to get it to detect the device. Manually syncing doesn't capure all the activity. If you don't intentionally launch and sync the app multiple times a day it misses out capturing activity. I've set it up so background app refresh is enabled. And yet I get an alert that it needs to be setup.
I understand MVP but buggy non functional MVP? Why spend so much on glossy marketing and starve product reliability?
It's turning our to be a totally unreliable piece of wellness tracking device.

I would love to return this for a full refund.

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share this. We’re really sorry for the experience you’ve had. The issues you mentioned are valid. We had a set of bugs affecting background sync and activity capture on iOS, especially when the app was suspended for long periods. The fixes for these issues are already live in the latest update, and we have additional stability improvements rolling out in the next releases. If anything still feels off after updating, we’d appreciate a chance to check your device logs so we can make sure everything is working as expected. You can reach us at support@makina.com , and we’ll take care of it. And if you’d prefer a refund, we’ll help you with that too. Thanks again for the feedback. We’re committed to making the experience reliable.

Helpful for tracking and staying consistent

I’ve been using Pulse for a week and it’s made it easier to keep track of my sleep, activity, and daily habits in one place. The layout is clear, and I like that I can choose which metrics to focus on. There’s still room for a few small improvements, but overall it’s been reliable and useful for building better routines.
