Great app! Just needs a few tweaks

I love the idea of an app that lets you set up playdates for your dog. The amount of detail that you can provide about your dog is very helpful in finding appropriate matches.
A couple of minor issues. There are several places that offer you the chance to buy a premium subscription, but you have to go the main menu to find out what this gets you. There’s also an option to become a certified user, but the app doesn’t explain what this means.
once you get enough users, this app will take off.

Amazing App!!

This app is a really cool way for owners to meet other owners and schedule play dates! It's really easy to use and straight forward and I would recommend to anyone looking to get their pup new friends.

Nice app

So far it’s cool app. A great idea and way to meet people with pups so they can have friends.

Excellent idea for pet parents who want to socialize their pups AND themselves!

I love the idea of this app.
There are many pet sites that provide different services, but I've never seen one that connects pet parents with each other. This is not only beneficial for dog socialization, but it gives parents the opportunity to make new friends!

The app itself is easy to use and very straightforward. I haven't experienced any glitches and don't feel unsafe while browsing. I also love that you can search based on temperament, dog breed, and gender. It has the potential to save a lot of time if you're looking for a specific play buddy.

Customer service is incredibly important in an app like this, and I’m impressed that you can reach a PlayDate representative via both email and phone. Many other apps make it nearly impossible to contact someone with questions or concerns. They include a feedback feature, too, and that shows me they care about user experience.

Overall, PupDate has so much potential. It’s a fun concept, gets people + their pets interacting with the community, and is genuinely easy navigate. Can’t wait to see more people in my area use this app so we can make some friends!

Amazing App For Dog Parents Looking For A Puppy Playdate

Overall, the app has a strong concept and a clean, well-organized layout. Navigation is clear and intuitive, labels are easy to understand, and the combination of typography and color contrast makes the interface highly readable. Most elements behave as expected, which creates a generally positive user experience.
That said, I encountered several usability and consistency issues that may create friction for users:
Form Inputs & Date Selection
When entering my birthdate, the year was presented as a dropdown while the month required navigating with arrows, creating an inconsistent input experience. Later, when adding my dog’s birthdate, I noticed I could use the keyboard to manually type the date. However, the app did not automatically format the date (DD/MM/YYYY), which increased cognitive load and made the process less intuitive. Consistent date input patterns and automatic formatting would help reduce friction.
Vaccination Question Clarity
The app asked whether my dog was vaccinated and then prompted for a date. It was unclear what date was being requested (initial vaccination, most recent vaccination, or completion date). Reframing this as “Is your dog fully vaccinated?” or adding helper text would make the intent clearer and improve confidence when answering.
Terminology & Accessibility
The section for selecting my dog’s and their pals’ temperament was difficult to complete, as some of the terms were unfamiliar. This assumes a level of prior knowledge that many dog owners may not have. Providing definitions, examples, or tooltips could make this section more inclusive and easier to understand.
Filters & Visual Affordances
The page titled “Who’s your pup hoping to wag tails with” visually appears to contain buttons or categories that would navigate to new pages, rather than filter options. This may lead users to misinterpret their function. Adjusting visual affordances to better indicate filtering behavior could help set clearer expectations.
Subscription CTA Clarity
On the subscription page, the CTA button labeled “Chose Plan” suggests that it will open another page where users can select a plan. However, it was unclear which plan (if any) was currently selected, and there was no clear confirmation of the action being taken. Renaming the CTA to something like “Upgrade Plan” or adding clearer selection feedback could improve clarity.
Icon Meaning
Lastly, the satellite icon in the top-right corner next to the filters was unclear in its purpose. Adding a label, tooltip, or using a more universally recognizable icon would help users understand its function more easily.
