What's New in Purple

1.4.9

October 7, 2026

Your Activity tab has been redesigned around the mobile data you save on Purple WiFi. It now records visits to Purple networks you join outside the app, shows the speed of each visit and refreshes with a pull. Offers follow you too: pick a city, search a town or zip code, or let the app use the nearest one, then filter by distance in miles or kilometers. We also made joining SecurePass networks and installing your Purple Pass more reliable, and tapping a notification now takes you straight to the right screen. Plus bug fixes and performance improvements.

You can’t connect to any nearby WiFi

I think this is lazy and a waste of my time. Deleting the app immediately.

Impossible to Register

Stuck in a loop every single time I’ve tried to register. Sent back to the page to enter an email. I’ve tried a few times over a few days.

Speedtest killed my connection

When connecting to the wifi it didn’t let me connect to the internet, because of the mandatory speedtest thing. ☹️

Kids are always asking for wifi and this app delivers. Found connections at parks, museums, and restaurants. Keeps everyone happy on family days out.
