A human/cat romance??
PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND ASSUMED THIS WAS EITHER GOING TO BE A HUMAN/HUMAN ROMANCE WITH CAT LOVERS OR A CAT/CAT DATING SIM.
I got this game and assumed it was humans dating humans or even cats dating cats, BUT ITS NOT. THE HUMAN DATES THE CAT. I get that there is a possibility that the cats are humans who are cursed or something, but I already finished a dating route where the cat confessed to my character..
no where does it say that the cats know that they are human (they all see themselves as cats) or that the humans know that the cats are cursed (they see them as cats they developed an ability to talk to). So basically this is a human with a cat dating simulator.
I was actually really excited for this game and looking forward to it, and otherwise it was really fun the hours I played it, but I can’t get over the animal/human aspect of the game so I’m going to try get a refund. Again, maybe I’m missing something And the cats will end up being human, but neither the cat or the human knows that so I’m extremely creeped out that they even developed feelings for each other without having that figured out first. Like imagine romantically falling in love with a cat even if it does talk, I find that sick. If it was a beauty and the beast type of situation where they KNEW FOR A FACT that the cat was actually a human trapped in a cats body I’d totally be ok with that, but as far as I know it’s really unclear why the cats talk and there’s no guarantee of them being human at all. Like no where does it mention that the cat believes it is a human (so even if it is a human later in the game it currently believes itself to be a cat) or that the player (a human) knows the cat is something else than a cat before they get into a relationship. CREEPY. I hope creators fix that plot line and make it so u can’t date cats or so that you can KNOW the cat is actually human before any romance even starts if that was the intention with the game . Even if the cat ends up being human it doesn’t make it any less wrong because the character doesn’t betray any knowledge of believing the cat is actually human before getting in a relationship with it!! Like throughout the game it was mentioned that both the cat and the human believed the cat to be a actual cat so it’s weird for them to date and actually would be illegal in a lot of states! Maybe it’s the route that I chose or something (I'm really hoping) or maybe I’m misunderstanding something but I really tried to get into it and it just kept getting way too weird for me because I’m a cat lover and it feels gross to play a game where I’m dating a cat as a human.
I feel like the creators weren’t trying to be creepy but the game could have been paced different or some aspects could have been changed. Even if it is just a game there is sick people out there and so for that reason it feels wrong to keep playing it when I’ve been playing for a couple of hours already and it’s still just a human/cat romance.

Unexpected Adventure And Mystery
I expected a fun and shallow game of setting up cats on dates with cute art. It is still that, and much more. The strange island of cats has secrets and possibly sinister backstory. It’s a mystery play novel!
You have to do everything perfectly to get to the outcome
And if you don’t - you have to play through the game again and again with the same dialogue.

One of the best games I’ve played
I bought this games expecting to date a cat maybe a lil more but what I got was much much better and creative! I love how the game works and would highly recommend! If your expecting a cat dating game just a heads up that it’s also a mystery thriller game full of lots of exciting moments with the characters and cats! I would love any other games like this that the developers would make I don’t find good story plot games for a decent price often and this was the best one I’ve played yet! So thank you devs and continue to do your amazing work on your games <33!

Unexpected.. in a GOOD way.
When I first saw this game I thought I would be making the cats date earth other. Clearly wrong.. but as the title suggests, I was wrong in the good way. The Dev Cave was awesome, the cats where cute in all ways possible, let alone would I think the island was some kind of industry. I found myself trying to make a lore out of this, sometimes I was scared to continue! At a point in time I “locked” myself in the corner in the last chapter, it made me so heartbroken that I didn’t finish the antidote.
Okay, for people who want a straight-forward opinion, point is that this can have some twists and turns, and you really have to learn from your mistakes. Me, I haven’t seen the full game, but from what I have I can say: it’s awesome. On a final note: If your a dev and your reading this: Awesome game. And if your a user reading this: This does have a lot of twists and turns, and can make you scared or sick at the thought of something. That’s my warning, but other then that 10/10 would recommend.

I’d like a refund. I expected the game to be a dating simulator, not a mystery game.
Perfect for HB fans.
So I really enjoyed Hatoful boyfriend, and that was great, so as soon as I saw this game, I got it. I loved dating birds, so dating cats would be great! It’s fun and silly, and there’s a secret, too... Just like in Hatoful boyfriend!
Barely ever get to make choices
Please make more choices and if I were you I’d get a different game like “I am bread”

I’d totally recommend this game to anyone needing a mystery game or someone who loves cats and is bored. This game is amazing! Just one thing... when you get the Everything in its Right Place ending, with doing all the research, recons and dates, it doesn’t give you the ending for dating Ravenpaw, which is kinda annoying because you’d have to restart and date all the cats again, then get the ending. But other than that, 5 stars!

Terrific game! Must for adventure fans
This is a must have for fans of adventure games/interactive novels. Also, anyone who is a cat fan will love this game. Even if you aren’t it is still a great game to download and start your love affair with cats! You can see how personal this game is to devs and how much thought went into crafting this very alluring story. I was on the edge of my seat wanting to discover all the mysteries cat island had to offer. This is less of a dating sim game and more of a mystery adventure game where you form bonds with the cat characters. Worth the buy! I look forward to seeing more thoughtful games like this from the dev team! Congrats

I’ve only just started playing, and already I am hooked on the storyline, characters, art, and overall quality of this game. It is perfect for someone who is looking for an app that’s less “mindless tapping” and more of an actual rpg, where you get to hang out with cute and quirky cats and investigate the secrets of the Island and its inhabitants! This game is worth buying, and I can already tell I will be playing this as often as I can to reveal new secrets and to date every member of the feline crew. This game gets two non-opposable thumbs up!

This is the third time I've bought this game on purpose.
I bought it on steam for myself and as a gift for a friend and have barely had any time to play it due to being on the go so much for work, so this iOS release was built for me. I'm already through my first research assistant's trip around the island and loving every second of this.
The writing is superb. The tongue in cheek humor divine. The cats are glorious. I've always wondered what the afterlife might be like, and I can only hope that it's exactly like this game.
