Great game…..gone
There is no longer any reason to either download or try to play this game. No support from anyone, the game has had no improvements in at least two years and appears to have been abandoned.

Fun for a couple hours....then the game won’t load the next level despite multiple taps and restarts so I can’t advance....

Awesome game, for three months play all the time.. I am done with it keeps crashing half of the game you can see other half you can’t. Real shame tried to contact support put tickets in no response. All I can say hope someone else creates something like this that actually works. And yes I deleted 3times and started new same problem..

Here we go again...
This game has a long history. One that involves the game mysteriously going down for months/years at a time. After the previous owners and the 3 after that, this game has been renamed 3 times.
But last week, the game stopped producing events and everything that made it fun and competitive. So, the 1 star review.
I don’t recommend playing this game if you want to put months of hard work into it only to be completely shut out of the game and losing your work.

Inconsistent
Before the last update, things were ok. Since the update however, the squad wars have changed, now it literally is the same challenges every single day. Before the update, at least it was variety. The daily login rewards is a good idea, however you can’t get to the end reward because it resets every 27-28 days. HELLO.....this makes no sense and very frustrating. Also the build times, research times, as well as upgrade times are a joke. Their is no way possible to complete those challenges without spending money for the gems or speed ups. These times NEED to be revamped. The gameplay is decent, but the time limit on the above stated is making this game EXTREMELY frustrating. Also on a side note, a list of the characters that you could get would be a welcomed addition.....

Good game but imbalance with bugs
This is a good game and has potential. It is a matching tile game with some twists to the simple matching mechanism. The board can be in any shape with obstacles. The hero rarities are common, rare, super, ultra, and epic. Common rarity always drop its hero card except in the evolve lab hunt for doctor. Rare and higher have a chance to drop a card piece (the rarer the hero, the lower the drop rate is). Rare needs 2 pieces, super needs 6 pieces, epic needs 12 pieces.
Now there are some critical issues with the game. The major issue I have is imbalance. Hero strength purely relies on the hero rarity. A common hero can’t match with rare hero, and so on. Also you need only 1 strong hero in a team in PvP to wipe out an opponent team.
PvP event during a Guild event will decide the outcome of the event. The guild which is the most active with high level players will always win. There are only 2 guilds that dominate the whole game. As a result, the game is dominated by only these people who will get the best heroes because they will get to evolve their hero faster. There are hundreds if not thousand guilds in the game, but only at most 50 people dominate the game.
The draw rate to get an epic hero is slim to none. I did 15 ultimate draws in a row and I got 1 ultra (last draw), 3 super (useless ones), and the rest are rare. So go figure.
There is a bug for daily reward. Even though it said you have 29 days total to collect 28-day reward with an epic hero as the last reward, the game will RESET the daily reward cycle once it hits the 28th day. As a result, you WILL NOT get the last reward regardless. It happened already once which is the first time the calendar reset after the daily reward was introduced. I will rate only 3* until the game devs have proved to me that they have fixed the issue plus to compensate the bug they introduced. Period.

Fun AND amazing customer service
The only other place I’ve received this level of customer service is from Apple themselves, and that’s really saying something. One of the biggest reasons I choose to play a game is based on customer service and Hothead Games is on point! I am so impressed!

Just another abandoned app
Was a fun game before squad wars. One update a year is not helping the game. Non-responsive devs have contributed to the downfall of the game also. There’s only about 50 active players now.
No support
As has been said before by another reviewer, the history behind this game has been off and on. The main problem now is lack of support. I got a new phone about 8 months ago. When I contacted support about reinstating my old user name, they said they would look into it. After a couple follow ups on my part, they were ‘looking into it’. 8 months later, they don’t even bother to respond. I’m not the only user with this complaint.
Update. I quit today. People are leaving this game in droves. The top players in my squad have all quit. Not good for morale or the future of this game, whatever they decide to change the name too.

I feel sad some couldn’t get their account back when game started up again. My husband and I could and are so glad to have the game back! So much fun, just wish more things were free or you could fight for them (like big spins etc)

This is a great to play without having to make any purchases. There are a lot of ways to level up and a variety of things to do in the game!

I would give this a higher rating but some thing s need to be fixed IMO. Like a 65 day, that’s right day wait on upgrading some things in the game. But other then that I like it. Still haven’t seen any other characters that are on the load

Don't waste your money!
The game is a complete rip off. Happily takes your money for an extremely rare chance to get something worth the money. Absolute crap game!

I had spent a chunk of money in the past, and played a seemingly cool game for a while, but then issues happened, and the game was unavailable, and after months of that, when it became available again, I couldn't recover my account to play with my wife again. Gave up as it became unavailable again. Months later, it just became available again, early 2017 and we agreed to play again. Both started from scratch, bought the intro pack, it was fun for a bit, but they let you use more crystals to buy oil or cash than you're able able to hold with no warning that I noticed. So basically I lost crystals needlessly, which is the RL$ to game capital in the game.
Just feel like I've been burned now more than once, and want to give a warning. It's a fun game, but it might be suddenly unavailable, and you might lose crystals, the currency that matters if you don't understand how the game works.

Waste of time!!!
What a horrible and greedy game, the spin rate to get character is just horrible, they don't even have a guarantee of atleast 1 epic, I got 2 of the same dumb character from two spin, that is some stupid rate right there, other players have the same too! Don't waste your time or money!
Good idea for game but it's all about money
I like this game but after just 2 hours of playing, I could nit do anything more without paying. I couldn't even fight ppl my own level and solo levels require such levels toons that you have to put money into it. There is no way to get toons to level up your higher toons so you just can't move. If you don't want a clear p2w avoid this fame.
