Good games, obscure scoring
What I struggle with is a) scoring and b) some arbitrary solutions (primarily with Chain It game). Re: the scoring… there seems to be a heavy time penalty - like .5 point for every second that passes from the moment the game launches on some games (referencing Snake It today). There’s no time allotted for eyes/brain to adjust to grid or even identify the starting point. Logic and strategy require one to be familiar with the playing field.
As for the chain it game - sometimes I nail it, but oftentimes I don’t. And who could consistently nail it except for the creator? Because word associations are random and subjective, especially when not paired with any clues or logical connection. I’m fine with that, except when answers don’t follow any rule… for example, today’s puzzle went from note->Pad to Pad->Thai to Thai-> L___ land? Notepad and note pad are two spelling variants of the same term, but Thailand and Thai Land are not.
Fun and hard
Good
it remains primarily free.
