FAQ
What is PYPD?
PYPD is a concert companion app designed for the 2026 CORTIS tour. It encourages attendees to put their phones away and use their movement to contribute to a shared energy meter during the show.
How does PYPD measure my movement?
The app utilizes your phone's motion sensors to track your steps, jumps, and dancing. Your phone screen should be off and the device pocketed while the app is active.
What is the shared energy meter in PYPD?
Every fan's motion contributes to a collective, live energy meter. This allows attendees to see how their collective movement is pushing the crowd's energy to its peak in real time.
What information do I get in my show recap?
After the show, PYPD provides a recap of your night, including your energy contribution, your rank within the crowd, and your moment in the tour. Fans who actively move are recognized.
How does the City vs. City leaderboard work?
Each show contributes to a tour leaderboard ranked by average energy per fan. This allows different cities and venues to compete to see who can generate the most energy through dancing.
Is my location tracked by PYPD?
Location is checked only once at check-in to confirm you are at the venue. This data is processed on-device and is never uploaded, ensuring user privacy.
When does PYPD become active?
PYPD comes alive at shows of the 2026 CORTIS tour. Real show features and unlockable content become available at the venue during showtime.
Does PYPD have ads?
No, PYPD is ad-free. The app is designed to enhance the concert experience without interruptions from advertisements.
