What's New in Python and Jupyter

4.2.3

August 28, 2026

What's New in Juno 4.2.3: This update fixes a range of crashes and stability issues, along with a number of smaller interface fixes and polish. Here's everything new in Juno 4.2: THE PACKAGE MANAGER, REWORKED – Install a package and Juno works out everything else it needs, shows you the plan, and installs the whole set. – Point it at a project's requirements.txt and it does the same for every package the project needs. – Package pages are rebuilt around the project's README, its versions, and what's installed on your device. – Browse popular packages, see when updates are available, and tidy up dependencies left behind when you uninstall. MORE AI PROVIDERS – Use OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Together, or Groq, or point Juno at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — including a model server running on your own network. – Some providers now let you sign in with your account instead of pasting an API key, and Juno shows how much of its allowance is left. – New models throughout the catalog, with context and account limits shown right in the composer. UPDATED ENVIRONMENT – pandas 3.0, NumPy 2.4.6, scikit-learn 1.9, SciPy 1.18, and lxml 6.1.1 lead a refresh of the bundled packages. MORE – Juno launches faster when you have a lot of packages installed. – A range of stability fixes, including crashes in the code editor, with the iPad keyboard, and when shutting down a kernel.

Response from developer

👋 你好!Juno 只需付费一次——此前购买过任何版本的用户,都应该已经免费解锁了全部付费功能。如果没有自动解锁,请发邮件至 help@juno.sh,我会帮你查看。 👋 Hey—you only pay once; everyone who had ever purchased any version of Juno previously should have all paid features unlocked for free. If this didn’t happen automatically please reach out to help@juno.sh and I’ll take a look.

Worth every penny - now supports Claude, Codex and OpenCode

Now works with your AI subscriptions, including Claude, Codex and OpenCode (and anything with compatible API), brilliant thank you! Previous review from 2025: I got this for arbitrary precision maths using mpmath (and SymPy) and it’s great, worth every penny. Only certain libraries are available because of the locked-down iOS platform, but that includes lots of favourites. This sole developer is doing a superb job!

Response from developer

Thank you for your kind words! Please ping me at beta@juno.sh, I'm currently testing more AI providers options on TestFlight, and Juno will gain its own agentic harness too in one of the next updates. 😉

Worth every penny - needs OpenCode AI!

AI integration would be much better with more model support, eg OpenCode. Previous review from 2025: I got this for arbitrary precision maths using mpmath (and SymPy) and it’s great, worth every penny. Only certain libraries are available because of the locked-down iOS platform, but that includes lots of favourites. This sole developer is doing a superb job!

Cell Output Plots

Worth the $40 to use this app. However with latest builds, clicking cell output with plots doesn’t use screen wisely. on 12.9 in ipad, it pops up a 400 x 400 window that takes up less 25% of screen width and height. Zooming is awkward to use. Until developers fix, i’m going use my laptop

Positively answered a long time search of mine

Yes, I had been searching for an app that would give a CAS, a programming language and the possibility of porting my files to my macbook.
I tryed several until I found python in ios.
I took some time until I decided to give juno a try. I am very satisfied.
The package numpy sometimes gets unload by the OS,as explained by the developer, but I can manage.
The developer even answers our questions, which is nice!
