About

Most money apps sell confidence: one number, one arrow. Q-Alpha is a learning app that shows you what you don't know. SCENARIO REVEAL Lock in your guess for an asset, then see 50 equally likely outcomes laid out as a distribution, with the 80% likely range spelled out. It is computed on your device from the price and volatility you choose, with no direction assumed — not a forecast, just the spread your own assumptions imply. Report what actually happened, and your calibration score shows whether your ranges ran too narrow: a quiet cure for overconfidence. RISK INDEX, SCORE BY SCORE See how five sub-scores — volatility, momentum, liquidity, trend strength and profitability — make up one 0–100 risk index. Use the built-in sample assets, or paste your own daily prices and volumes to get a risk index from your numbers. If an asset isn't supported, Q-Alpha says so instead of showing a made-up score. A SIGNAL THAT SHOWS ITS RULE The risk signal applies one published rule to the risk index and writes out its reasoning, so you can see exactly why it says what it says. It is not a forecast and never a buy or sell call. COMPARE AND BALANCE Overlay two assets on the same five-axis radar to see where their risks differ, and run a classical mean-variance allocation on the holdings you track to see how the weights shift. Every result shows its method and data source — an exercise, not a recommendation. QUANTUM ENGINE — A LEARNING DEMO Curious how quantum algorithms work? Run a small QAOA portfolio-selection example, compared side by side with the exact answer and a random baseline, plus a quantum-circuit sampling demo. Both run on a classical simulator: not a quantum computer, not hardware randomness, and never a forecast. PRICED TO LEARN Start free with the Risk Index — on sample data or your own — and up to 5 portfolio holdings. Pro unlocks Scenario Reveal, the risk signal, the Quantum Engine demo, side-by-side comparison, portfolio optimization and market scan, with no holding limit, for $4.99/month or $29.99/year. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. App Store category: Education. Q-Alpha is not investment advice, recommends no product and guarantees no return. Every output is a learning scenario; every decision is yours. What's New in Q

3.2.7

October 2, 2026

Version 3.2.7 • Scenario Reveal now spells out the 80% likely range, and the same inputs always give the same result. • The risk signal shows the exact rule it applies and its reasoning. Progress indicators appear only while your request is actually running. • Optimize My Portfolio works on the holdings you track, using the risk tolerance from your profile; each result shows its method and data source. • Quantum Engine: the QAOA example is now compared with the exact answer and a random baseline. • Headline Relevance replaces Market Impact and no longer shows predicted price moves. • Settings now do what they say: on-device alerts (extreme risk, daily and weekly reminders), default asset, refresh interval, reduced motion, and a light or dark look that stays after relaunch. • Pro purchases are now linked to your Q-Alpha account. • Accounts: email typos are caught at sign-up, sign-in errors are clearer, and signing out fully resets the app for the next person. • 7 languages; devices set to Traditional Chinese now show Simplified Chinese. • Mac: Cmd+1–5 switch tabs and Cmd+R refreshes. • Every Risk Index result now shows its data source — demo price path or live market data — and the old "Engine State" row is gone. • Risk levels read Low, Moderate, High and Extreme; the "entry zone" wording is gone. • "Use my own data" scores are labelled in your language. • Scenario Reveal is marked Pro everywhere, including the Siri shortcut. • Disclaimer text is no longer cut off. • Radar axes now include a "Price Stability" label in all 7 languages, and any axis without a translation gets a readable name instead of a code. • The Enterprise plan description now lists only what it includes, with its real rate limit (300 requests/min). Same promise: simulation, not prediction. Education, not investment advice.
