The app has no words. All categories are empty.
There is literally no audio.
I’ve downloaded the app twice, there is no audio no matter what you do. Would be a nice app if it worked.

Just what I was looking for. Something simple and easy to help me learn the Qatari way of talking. Great app if you’ve moved to Qatar like me! This app is free and a lot better than the paid apps!

A good effort
This phrasebook is a good effort, but it includes very few items that are specifically Qatari Arabic (as opposed to just Gulf Arabic).
There is one obvious problem in the way this was produced: Qatari Arabic allows two consonants at the beginning of a word, but Classical Arabic does not. To “correct” this in words like “shlonik”, an alif (without a hamza) is usually placed at the beginning of the word. This is (presumably?) to assist people coming from a Classical Arabic background, but it actually introduces a vowel where there wasn’t one. Then the Qatari readers read this out loud in the recordings, resulting in “ashlonik” instead if “shlonik.”
Having the students read the words out loud obviously resulted in some stilted pronunciations in this app.
Having said all that, the app is very beautifully programmed, includes very practical categories, and is easy to use.

Good app
Unique and free. Helps with all Gulf Arabic dialects too.
Would love to see more advanced versions and possibly example sentences for the words.
Some audio could be improved and/or edited better (some words are cut off).
This app can be scaled to offer more even as paid options, it’s that good!

At last! A good Arabic learning app!
I've been in the Middle East for 2 years now and haven't found a decent app to learn Arabic let alone the Qatari dialect. The app is very easy to use and has an extensive vocabulary! At least now I know when I'm learning Arabic in this way I'm not going to sound too formal and will at least try to come across like a local!
