QazaqKey

QazaqKey is a Kazakh Latin keyboard for iPhone and iPad — a bare, honest layout with two alphabet targets, no network access, no data collection, and no ads. Two alphabets, one keyboard. Switch between them any time: - QazaqKey — this project's own Latin alphabet. Six non-ASCII letters (ä ö ü ñ ğ é), no dotless i, designed to read cleanly in the fonts you already have. - Common Turkic Alphabet (CTA) — the Turkic Academy's shared pan-Turkic standard, a single alphabet shared across the broader Turkic-speaking world. The Common Turkic Alphabet (CTA) ships as the default for fresh installs. A QWERTY you already know, with the extra letters built in. The layout stays close to a stock keyboard, so it doubles as a plain English keyboard. The letters specific to each alphabet are reached through a mix of dedicated keys (ñ has its own key; the Common Turkic Alphabet (CTA) target adds ū, ñ, and ş as dedicated keys) and a hold-then-release gesture on the base letter. There is no popup or accent-picker to scan — every base letter has exactly one alternate, so holding past about 200ms and releasing commits it directly. Hold g and release for ğ; hold e and release for é. Everything you need to type a real sentence. Comma and period flank the space bar on the letters layer; an apostrophe sits on the symbols layer; the tenge sign ₸ is on the symbols layer right next to $; a second symbols page covers the rest. Auto-capitalize at sentence and field start, double-tap-shift for caps lock, long-press-backspace that escalates to word-delete, a backspace key on the symbols layer too, and an Enter key whose label reflects the focused field's real action (Done / Go / Next / Search). Input-click audio feedback on every keystroke, and a globe key on the keyboard to switch to the next keyboard — so you are never trapped on this keyboard when you need another language. Deliberately not included. No autocorrect, no prediction, no glide typing, no dictionary. A bad autocorrect on a new orthography with no existing corpus is worse than none — and anything networked is off the table by design (see below). No network access. No data collection. No ads. Free. This is the actual product, not a footnote. QazaqKey's keyboard extension is configured with RequestsOpenAccess set to false, which means iOS itself does not allow the keyboard to make any network request or read other apps' data — enforced by the OS at the sandbox level, not merely promised in this listing. The keyboard never transmits anything off your device, collects nothing about what you type, shows no advertisements, and costs nothing. Adding QazaqKey in Settings shows no "Full Access" permission prompt at all, which is a feature of this keyboard, not a gap. Everything you type stays between you and the field you're typing into. What this keyboard does not do — and how you can check. • Full Access: never requested. Adding the keyboard in Settings shows no Full Access switch at all. • Network access: none. With Full Access off, iOS denies the keyboard any connection; the app around it references no networking API either. • Servers run by the developer: none exist. There is nowhere to send your typing. • Cloud AI processing of your text: none. Conversion runs on your iPhone. • Ads and the advertising identifier: no ads, and the app does not link AdSupport, so the identifier cannot be read. • Analytics, crash reporting, telemetry: none of it. • Account, sign-up, purchases: none.
