Locks on high score screen

It locks on the high score screen. Don’t waste your money!

Not arcade authentic but close

Matthew, first of all. Good effort.

I’d like to ask is there a way to fix some some of the issues if you plan on updating? First thing I saw was Q*bert running thru an enemy. That happened quite a bit. While I enjoy surviving a close call, that was something the arcade got right. You hit an enemy, you die every time. Then you put another quarter in. It was a quarter guzzler. But it made me better.

That glitch going thru enemies takes away that feeling of accomplishment. Even cheating the game itself.

My main complaint if we ignore that, would be the audio SFX cuts off a lot if there’s a lot happening on screen. Sporadically some of the sound effects completely are muted and I know that did not happen in the Arcade. It just cuts off.

When I got the green fruit, I didn’t hear the power up music at all. And sometimes when there’s a lot happening on screen again, when I jump, I don’t hear the sound of Qbert’s jump if the sound of an enemy sfx overlays it. This is a game from ‘82 and why can’t we get the Audio accurately emulated in 2025?

And ugh and wrong way ( the green enemy dudes) came out in level 7 on your game. On the arcade it was the gray board. Level 3. I like the variation from the original. But I have to admit it would be great if you could have a few options if you want to truly do the true Arcade original.

With 2 lives. The ability to add lives, variations of levels and bonus live options would be great too. The company who officially made Q*bert modernized available here couldn’t get the classic game correct either. It’s a homage. I want the original in my palm. Yours is the closest I’ve seen. So A for effort.

Controls are good enough. But some controller support would be pleasant too. Thx for your efforts.
