FAQ

What makes Qlavis's encryption unique?

Qlavis utilizes post-quantum cryptography, specifically the NSA CNSA 2.0 algorithm suite, including ML-KEM-1024 and ML-DSA-87. This ensures messages remain unreadable even to future quantum computers, offering a higher security level than traditional encryption methods.

How is user identity managed in Qlavis?

User identity is established via a 24-word recovery phrase generated on the iPhone, which is held solely by the user. This phrase is protected by the Secure Enclave, preventing anyone, including Qlavis, from accessing or impersonating users.

Can I make voice and video calls with Qlavis?

Yes, Qlavis supports encrypted audio and video calls that use the same post-quantum keys as your chats. Calls will not connect if these keys cannot be established, ensuring a secure communication channel.

How does Qlavis handle group communication?

Qlavis allows users to create secure rooms where members can be added by @handle. Text, photos, videos, and voice messages within rooms are encrypted using the same robust post-quantum methods as one-to-one chats.

Does Qlavis have ads?

No, Qlavis is ad-free. The application is completely free to use and does not display advertisements to its users.

What devices is Qlavis available on?

Currently, Qlavis is available for iPhone devices. The application is designed to leverage the security features of iOS.

How often is Qlavis updated?
