QNP is a focused notepad designed for iPhone and iPad. Capture an idea, continue writing offline, and keep your notes close without unnecessary complexity.
Write normally or use Markdown when you need more structure. QNP supports headings, emphasis, highlights, lists, quotes, code, links, and colored hashtags. Formatting controls are available directly above the keyboard, while Markdown symbols can be hidden for a cleaner reading experience.
Organize notes into custom groups for work, personal ideas, projects, or anything else. Create, rename, reorder, and delete groups, then move notes between them. Touch and hold a group to move it, with the other groups making room as you drag. Selected groups scroll into view so their names and rounded tabs remain easy to see.
Keep important notes at the top of General or any custom group with Keep on Top. Other notes appear newest first. Use swipe actions or note menus to pin and organize your writing.
The toolbar keeps everyday actions close: create a new note directly, or open the More menu for New Group, Open File, and Settings.
Open Markdown (.md and .markdown), plain text (.txt), and rich text (.rtf) files as new notes in General. QNP imports a copy and leaves the original file unchanged. RTF files are converted to plain text; formatting and attachments are not imported.
Each note displays live word, character, and line counters. Titles are generated automatically from the first meaningful line. Completely empty new notes are discarded when you leave them, keeping your list tidy.
Search the full text of your notes, including notes you have not opened on this device. Choose from multiple backgrounds and use System appearance to follow Light or Dark Mode. QNP also includes an iPad layout designed for the larger display.
Your notes, groups, and backgrounds synchronize through your private iCloud account across compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs running QNP. A local mirror keeps editing responsive and available offline, with changes reconciled when iCloud becomes available again.
Recovery lets you preview a saved recovery copy before restoring it as a new note or permanently deleting it. Recovery copies can be erased individually or all at once. QNP can also rediscover existing iCloud notes if a device's local cache is removed.
No QNP account is required. QNP contains no advertising, tracking, analytics, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. The developer cannot access notes stored in your private iCloud account.
