What's New in QuakeCheck
1.3
August 3, 2026
QuakeCheck 1.3 makes earthquake alerts more transparent, personal, and useful after an event. • New Alert Status shows notification permission, push connection, monitored locations, and USGS feed freshness. • Send a real end-to-end test notification through QuakeCheck’s server and Apple Push Notification service. • Give each saved location its own radius, minimum magnitude, active status, and quiet-hour rules. • See estimated shaking at your selected location from USGS ShakeMap data when available. • Follow preliminary or reviewed event status, magnitude revisions, and nearby activity without overstating USGS classifications. • Open official USGS felt reports, Ready.gov safety guidance, tsunami information when relevant, and sharing or check-in actions. • Significant M6+ notifications use Apple’s Time Sensitive delivery when enabled. • Full Spanish and Japanese interface and localized push notifications. • Added iOS 17 support, accessibility improvements, and reliability fixes. QuakeCheck is an informational tool, not an emergency alert or earthquake early warning system.
