Keys?
What am I missing? Why does it seem the keys chosen for 3 and 4 are not the common keys used in fake books? They are so far away that when I adjust the key, the track is distorted. You really can only adjust so far up or down before the track sounds crazy. A real disappointment. 1 and 2 are stellar!

Yeah me likes but…
As I say in the title, this is a very nice sounding app. The recordings are very nice, but it could use some improvement so here’s my wish list:
1. Add a tap tempo button.
2. It would be nice to be able to make your own charts and have the band follow in different styles.
3. Not all recordings are super nice. Most of them are, but for example, Fly me to the Moon the drums are horrible.
4. There is no mixer to play with the levels of the instruments. It would be nice to have a mixer.
5. You can only export the file to M4A format it would be nice if you could export to WAV file and MP3 which are more commonly used.
6. It would also be nice if you could export the chord chart as a normal chart or have a choice to view the chords in different ways normal chart or the default way.
7. You have a choice of having the Quartet playing, having Bass and Piano or bass and Drums, but there is no way to just have Drumms only Adding a mixer with alleviate this.
8. The endings have no turn around like a lot of standards do so they end abruptly and well… it be nice if we had the choice.
9. There is no intuitive way to play your personal playlists, you have to click the Edit graphic to be able to see the list you created also as you make your list it’s displayed backwards the first file you add will show up last and the last file you make will show up first. There is a way to rearrange the list but that’s an extra unnecessary step.
10. A lot of the swing files are really fast though they sound nice that speed may not be what the audience is familiar with for example A Foggy Day is recorded at 200 bpm when the most famous recording is around 150 bpm that’s a lot of difference maybe they should have two versions of the song the one they want and the bpm tempo of the one that’s the most famous recording. Like they have two versions of Autumn Leaves.
As for bouncing:
You can bounce to stems for an extra fee or 99¢ per song, it should really be for free I mean the bundle is almost $40 and each separate is $15 a lot of music apps allow stems for free.
All in all I really like it and I recommend it but hopefully they will be developing and adding these much needed features for free.

As a drum teacher this is a superb tool, a huge selection of styles and tempos to work through and all recorded to click.
The facility to mute the drums allows student to play along as the drummer but also listen to the original groove for inspiration.
This is such a musical step up from just working with a click, essential for all drummers👍

Another great product
A while back I purchased Quartet 1&2. I was just blown away by the ease of use and the quality of sound. I recently purchased Quartet 3&4. It’s the same great app with more well chosen tunes. I’m a professional woodwind player and for the past 4 years or so have been doing a lot more solo jobs with tracks. These apps are a must and a game changer. 1-4 gives you hours of great accompaniment. They use top notch musicians and quality recording. I can’t recommend them enough.

More brilliance from Quartet!
The Quartet app is a game changer! High quality audio recordings (no midi!) from some of the finest jazz musicians in the world, now offering a repertoire list of 500 classic jazz tunes all of which are searchable across all 4 of the apps. A very easy to use interface with beautifully designed cover artwork. 8 mixes for every track, in all 12 keys with variable tempos and charts that transpose for Bb and Eb instruments. The ability to export the wav files with a simple upgrade is also very useful for creating custom tracks in your own DAW. All in all, a brilliant resource for jazz musicians at any level, on any instrument.

The best playalong out there!
They really set a new standard (forgive the pun) with this amazing range of jazz play along apps. Being able to change key and tempo is utterly invaluable, but what really stands out is that it just sounds so damn good! It makes me want to pick up my instrument and play. Stunning app!!!!!
Great app!!!! Really easy to use, stunning presentation and a fantastic sequel to Quartet 1 & 2. Great playing on the tracks and fantastic sound quality. Really recommended for people who want to learn more about the art of jazz and improvising.
Excellent and essential
I’ve just spent a happy hour playing around with this app and I think it’s a fantastic tool for all musicians who want to practice and improve their soloing and playing in jazz and other related styles. It’s so easy and intuitive to use so I can get playing straight away. The quality of the backing tracks is great: some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians and it feels like you are live in the room with them. There is a great selection of tracks to play along to. It’s clearly been designed by musicians who really know the music from the inside out and will work well for musicians at all levels. I’ll be using this regularly in my teaching and also in my personal practice from now on.

Wonderful
For anybody seeking to improve their jazz playing this series of apps is without parallel. The rhythm section is really great and swinging. Put together these four apps provide an enormous repertoire of great jazz tunes. Highly recommended.

500 songs!
Purchased quartet3 and 4 to add to my existing 2 apps, now I have a total of 500 songs on tap! Awesome. The play list feature is much improved over the earlier apps and can switch between the four apps as it plays, most useful. Good for gig nights as I can set up various set lists.
Just like playing with a real band
Fantastic app and lots of great new tunes, with a few unusual ones that will have me learning some fresh material. The quality of the band performances are outstanding, having tried with other synth based back apps this is light years ahead.

Top quality playalong
There are 150 songs in each of these “Quartet” apps featuring some of the jazz scene’s best players - it’s like getting 15 Aebersolds for the price of one, with the extra ease of use. Highly recommended for serious musicians to hone their repertoire with a great band, or enthusiastic amateurs to get a taste of playing with the pros.

Absolutely fantastic
What was already fantastic has just got so much better! I already had Quartets 1 and 2, which I have really enjoyed playing with over the last few years. They both have 150 backing tracks in each app, and I use them for practising, playing, gigging, and teaching. It's such a fantastic resource. I was so excited to see the release of Quartets 3 and 4, which are just as good, if not even better! Now you can search through any one app for any tune, and it will bring it up in any of the apps, which is just amazing. It's such a fabulous resource. If you're an instrumentalist, you absolutely will benefit from having this app. It's so much fun to play with, and the quality of the backing tracks is incredibly high. I absolutely love it. This app is essential for jazz practice
Just had my first play through Volume 3 and it picks up where Volume 2 left off. I love it. The spread of instruments is fab with Trumpet and Guitar which aren’t in Vols 1 and 2. The audio is spot on and I especially love the piano comping style and the subtlety of the drums. New Playlist feature means you can essentially control different volumes of the app via one app. Import and export playlists is a nice touch. This is immaculately produced and I strongly recommend it to all those playing jazz.
